In net is new build of Windows Seven. We can update old build to new build with Windows Update?

Nope that’s not possible, you would need someone to leak the new build.
The ribbon interface on the new build looks nice from what ive seen.

hello, i can't activate Windows 7.

my steps:
1) set bios date "2 december 2007"
2) install windows 7 without key
3) disable sppsvc "Software Protection" and reboot
4) replace tokens.dat in "\Windows\ServiceProfile\NetworkService\AppData\Ro aming\Microsoft\SoftwareProtectionPlatform"
5) run activate.exe - it say "error blabla slmgr.vbs"
6) after reboot windows don't ask for cd-key

if don't replace tokens.dat error not show but no effect activate =(

I have downloaded the ISO file (windows7beta), and I have been looking for this TOKENS.DAT file that I need to replace with the one in windows, but I can't find it. I also can not find the ACTIVATE.EXE file in order to activate windows7beta.

did I download the correct ISO or Am I missing something ??

Download the activator here. Follow these instructions to activate. You will half to set your bios clock back to December.


1) Mount / Burn

2) Set your bios clock back to 02 December 2007

3) Install without a key

4) To get rid of WPA extract activator.rar

5) Click Start -> Run and Type services

6) Go to Services->Software Licensing and choose "Disabled" as Startup method

7) Reboot your computer, when rebooted, go to C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\ Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareLicensing and delete the tokens.dat file there, replacing it with the one from the activator.rar

8) Yet again, go to Services->Software Licensing and choose "Automatic" as Startup method.

9) Run the Activation.exe file (included in rar), activate your computer as if it was running Vista Ultimate. (Should any errors occur, just neglect them.) Restart your computer.

10) After reboot, it will now ask for a cd-key, use the following one: 6F2D7-2PCG6-YQQTB-FWK9V-932CC - wait a few minutes it for it to activate!
Now you've got an activated Windows 7 version.

REMINDER: This build will expire in June 2008!

I get to the point when after running activate.exe and rebooting it ask for a valid serial key number, I input the one supplied here in this thread 6F2D7-2PCG6-YQQTB-FWK9V-932CC and after a while it comes up with a pop up window error that says:

"the following error occurred while trying to use the product key:
code 0xC004F022
Description: The Software Licensing Service reported that the license authorization failed"

One more thing I have to comment is that in the step 6 where you posted to stop the "Software Licensing" service, there is not such a service, there is a service called: "Software Protection", which is the one I disabled when I was doing the process.

and other thing is the location of the TOKENS.DAT is not in the folder 'softwarelicensing' but in the folder "\Windows\ServiceProfile\NetworkService\AppDat a\Ro aming\Microsoft\SoftwareProtectionPlatform"


OK, I'm stacked, how do I input a valid serial key to make it pass this step. I"m running it in vmware so I will place it in suspend until I find an answer

when run services.msc in windows 7 and try properties mmc is error

in windows 7 this service named not "Software Licensing" it is "Software Protection"
