A leaked memo from GAME, seen by MCV, says that Activision and Microsoft are the latest publishing giants to not supply the troubled specialist giant.
Activision titles Cabela Big Game Hunter 2012 and Zhu Zhu Babies, plus Microsoft's Kinect Rush: A Disney/Pixar Adventure, will not be sold by the retailer, the memo to store managers reads.
The note also confirms that Nintendo's Inazuma 12 and Sega's Shogun 2: Fall of the Samurai will not be stocked, along with PokePark 2, Kid Icarus and Yakuza: Dead Souls, which has already been announced.
If true, it means Activision and Microsoft joins a list of top publishers that are not supporting the retail giant. Other firms who have pulled stock from GAME includes EA, Nintendo, Sega, Capcom and Tecmo Koei.

Well, looks like the final nail is being driven into GAME's coffin at an inexorable, torturous, pace. Following weeks of humiliating failures, the UK retailer has finally filed for administration, having been unable to find a way to remain solvent.

The short term plan is for GAME to continue operations while discussing with lenders and third parties under cover of darkness. There is still the chance of a complete purchase by another company, with Wal-mart and OpCapita allegedly interested in taking over. Other reports suggest GAME could relaunch on its own, dropping the chain of GameStation stores. GAME says that it "challenges" such suggestions, though won't be specific.

This year, GAME has failed to stock games from Electronic Arts, Nintendo, Ubisoft, Capcom and Tecmo Koei, with further reports that Microsoft and Activision had dropped support. The company's decline has been rather embarrassing to watch.

I never liked GAME as a company, but it sucks for the people working on the store floors -- the people who always get screwed hardest by the awful business decisions of the powers-that-be.

GAME's doing pretty badly, huh, it's now just a matter of time before they finally close their doors and turn online-only.

Online-only would still be necessary to have employees, to check the games, shipping, condition, prices, etc. Online is the way to go.

Same here, both Game and Gamestation are open as normal.

I think its just in bigger citys where they had like 3-4 stores they have closed a few for now.

If GAME goes bankrupt then only the small game stores will be left and CeX.

One of the small game stores I've visited once had Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 1 for £17 and it was used. wtf logic! You can get this PoS DBZ game for £2 from Amazon.

Way cheaper to buy games online than from a retail store.
