Windows 7 Beta Build 6801 PDC (wb-win7pdc32bit6801dvd)
Windows 7 (formerly known as Blackcomb and Vienna) is the working name for the next major version of Microsoft Windows as the successor of Windows Vista. Microsoft has announced that it is "scoping Windows 7 development to a three-year timeframe", and that "the specific release date will ultimately be determined by meeting the quality bar." Windows 7 is expected to be released sometime in 2010. The client versions of Windows 7 will ship in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions. A server variant, codenamed Windows Server 7, is also under development.
On October 28, 2008, Microsoft distributed a pre-beta build of Windows 7 with the build tag 6801.winmain_win7m3.081020-1655 to attendees at its Professional Developers Conference (PDC). Microsoft also demonstrated build 6933.winmain.081020-1842 during the PDC, but did not give it to attendees. It has a new desktop interface, a new taskbar and many new features.
The Downloads here are for Build 6801 not Build 6933.

EDIT: It works. It is Milestone 3. All I need now is a crack so I can keep it past 30 days.
i heard some where you can use your old vista rc 1 beta key to activate
Have you got a source for that? Unless Microsoft have re used the same keys for this beta again the vista beta keys expired years ago.
It's true...Vista beta 2 keys can be used to activate this build. I just found my old key this morning, and activated through the phone activation center.
So you actually have to call Microsoft up and say your activating the Windows 7 Beta and they will do it with your old Vista Key? I will have to try and find mine out if so.

I have XP 32 bits, XP 64 bits, vista , fedora with multiboot; if I install windows seven can I keep the old OS?
I see on the pictures that windows 7 has been installed on c:/
i'had like to install it on H:, in place of XP 64 bits, the OS i like the less

j'ai installé la version la plus recente 6801, je ne voulais pas par peur mettre le bios à une date anterieure, via le DVD et explorer du lecteur de dvd en cliquant sur le setup
j'ai maintenant trois choix au demarrage :
1 earlier versions of Windows
2 Microsoft Windows seven
3 Microsoft Windows vista
it looks it has his own bootloader
vite vite un keygen svp
suis very very happy
installed without any problem, not by booting on the DVD but installing the system through vista
I have explored the burned DVD and runned setup
pointed the drive where I wanted the installation and started install
paint , wordpad, pannel control are a different, but in fact, really looks like vista, and I'm writting you under IE 8

it was not ok, if i was able to see the multiboot, only XP and windows seven were accessible with windows seven installed on the primary hard drive master
I could run only windows seven and XP, when i have wanted to start my "special vista not paid" windows recognized that my serial is not official and vista did not wanted to start at all
I have tried to put the serial found with keyfinder ( after having restored vista with acronis true image) but it has not been accepted
So, I have tried to install windows seven on an other hard drive but it seems that the bootloader installs himself only on the primary master boot record and always take place of the boot loader of vista
so it is either vista either windows seven
I hope you will understand my english, I've tried my best
may be if you have a real vista it is easier and ok because it launches , just asks for the serial number
but I cannot try this solution

pimprenelle1: Installing another OS should not modify your existing install’s serial number... but as you say you’re using a pirated copy, some cracks for Vista use a modified boot loader so that’s why your Vista will be no longer activated. You would most likely have to re install Vista for your “special” copy to work or apply the crack again. You could always buy it too, that way it will work no matter what you do to your bootloader.
