Default [SNES] The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

In this third Zelda game, you once again play Link who has to rescue Zelda from Ganon. The game is played like the original game, in a topdown view. One night, Link wakes up after Zelda speaking to him in a dream, asking him to come help her, so you head over to the dungeon under the castle to free her. After a while you find out a wizard called Agahnim is ruling Hyrule and it's up to you to stop him. After defeating him you will be teleported to a darker Hyrule, called the dark world. In this world Ganon rules and he has locked away 7 maidens into dungeons, and once again, it's up to Link to free them, going from dungeon to dungeon. It's one of the most popular Zelda games out there.

this is a really good game.i never had an SNES, i went from regular NES to PC games (large technology gap, i know), but i played it on an emulator years ago. its very fun, and addicting (the former beings an obligatory attribute for the exceptional games). unlike the 2 NES zeldas (which by no means are bad games), this one gives you the large variety of items that are found in all zelda games that followed it, for instance the hookshot.

if you've never played a zelda game before, or if you didnt like the NES versions, i highly reccoment this as a good starting point or a good place to give the franchise a second chance.

ive played all zelda games except the ones made for gameboy/gameboy advance, and this one, IMHO, (and my opinion is valid because i consider myself a video game conniissseur =P) is second only to ocarina of time (N64).

I love this game, I have the GBA version.

Are there any diferences between the two?

I don't think there is a difference, I think the GBA version has a very slight graphic boost.

I think the only difference was that this game came with that 4 Sword mutiplayer game as well on the GBA. I've had a little go at the game but haven't got round to giving it a proper bash. I think the only Zelda games I've completed are Windwaker and Links Awakening DX. I'm on the last boss on Ocarina of Time.

Whoa, whoa, whoa...This isn't my batman cup!

You've beaten Awakening DX but not Ocarina of Time? Awakening DX was the biggest pain in the ass and it took me forever to beat that game.

The owl was completely useless. Yes I've completed it but that's when I was younger and I think I only had a GB for gaming. I'd rather not say how long it took to complete it
