It doesn't work that way. After inspecting paul.dll i've come to a conclusion that every time ra3 is ran it checks is the key valid from the ea server. :-D

Well, that's a relief. I hope that means EA won't be trying to sue me anytime soon for turning on the launcher three times and typing in five different keys. >_>

Well, then, now we have to find a way to work without the servers...

Ok, doubt this will help much (as pretty much anyone with a registry editor can find these), but I found registry files for RA3 and SecuROM in these locations:

(each - represents a sub folder of the main folder (HKEY_*****))

And now I'm not typing them out anymore because they are way too long. There's a bunch of installation data and help data in here. I'm having a hard time sifting through all of it.

u're the guy from mininova right?
since ur game is activated try changing the key through registry to one of the serial numbers from here and then see if the game starts...
if that works try to repack the installation of urs and share it with us (make sure the PIRATED s.n is in the reg when u repack) and then we can work on a lan hack

Yeah, Im the giy from mininova. Changing the key in ergc does still allow my install to work, but it does not work on other people's. There is something else at work. i just need a bit more time...

the youtube guy finally released a patch

here since rapidshare is discouraged i attached the patch to my comment
i haven't tried the patch since i can't even start RA3 so if it works all we need is an authentication crack

I've found this which is able to sniff the HTTPS traffic. Wether or not you'd be willing to post full logs is upto you as they'll have your CD key in them.
