Hey, no, the update will NOT cause ANY provblems with itunes! if you are still not sure, THEN SIGN OUT OF YOUR ITUNES ACCOUNT WHEN YOU DO THIS. but it doesnt matter, it works! lol. i just last night ( 1 AM ) updated my itouch with the firmware, and was very happy to see that it worked.

Iv got the firmware on and everything but It does not let me purchase anything through the app store on the iPod Touch 1g.

redsnow is successfully detect it
Before from here I had download firmware v 3.0 for iPhone 3G from other sources but the redsnow wont recognize it or the file is dmg.

But I Really Dont know how to sync it to my ipod

Plug your iPod into your PC. You will need to fit the large plug into the bottom of your iPod and the USB cable into the USB port on your PC.

hiya i installed this firmware onto my new ipod touch and everytime i connect it to itunes it comes up with the error message "iTunes could not connect iPod because an unknown error has occured (0xE800005D).

can somebody please help i dont know what to do?

ok i finished downloading all the stuff put it on my ipod and i look to find one thing missing, the bluetooth ability.
its probably not a big deal but its the one thing i liked most about this update because i have bluetooth headsets.
so is there anything im missing? can someone help me out here?

Hi, I have a 32 gig i Touch with version 2.2.1 firmware and am having a futile time trying to update it to version 3.0
So far I have downloaded iPod Touch 2G 3.0 Gold Master Final - iPod2,1_3.0_7A341_Restore and iPod2,1_3.0_7A341_Restore and get the following error message when I attempt to upgrade: "The iPod could not be updated because the firmware file is not compatible."

Mine's an 8gig 2G touch with 2.2.1 on 8.2 iTunes and I got the same error...

hey! Why is that it showed that the firmware file is not compatible with my iPod. I've got a 16G 1st Gen iPodTouch with version 1.1.5.. I've followed all the steps (updated my iTunes and downloaded the firmware - iPod Touch 1G 3.0 Gold Master Final - iPod1,1_3.0_7A341_Restore)Why is it like that? I really want to upgrade my iPodTouch. Help please..
