    Aegis Wing

Aegis Wing is a side-scrolling space combat game reminiscent of classic Eighties arcade hits. It features alien-busting action, slick graphics, an orchestral soundtrack, and devastating power-ups.

    Doritos Dash of Destruction

Doritos Dash of Destruction - Dash your way through the city as a hungry Tyrannosaurus Rex in search of a Doritos delivery truck, or as a terrified truck zooming in and out of the T-Rex’s path of destruction in search of its drop-off points. Enjoy the fast-paced action as a single player or join with friends Zen or multi-player modes.

    Hexic HD

Hexic HD is the next puzzle hit from Alexy Pajitnov, the original creator of Tetris. Rotate groups of three hexes to form clusters of like-coloured tiles. Use bonus pieces and starflowers to boost your score and discover new ways to play. But watch out for bombs—clear them before they explode or its game over.

Also included is a unique cooperative mode of play in which up to three additional players can "attach" to the leader's ship and become independent, 360-degree gun turrets.

    Totemball

Totemball is an Xbox Live Arcade musical action game developed by Freeverse Software/Strange Flavour and published by Microsoft Game Studios. It takes advantage of the Xbox Live Vision Camera with the camera tracking the players hand movements. It was released on October 4, 2006 as a free download. It does require the camera to play.

    Yaris

Yaris is a quick, fast and easy-to-learn game that puts players behind the wheel of a customizable Toyota Yaris to destroy enemies, avoid obstacles, and finish the course before it finishes them. Players will enjoy customization options and an arsenal of weapons while they attack enemies and advance to the next level. Yaris was the first free brand-supported game on Xbox LIVE Arcade and was available for download in the U.S. and Canada for one year.

All the games above have been released free of charge on Xbox Live and will play perfectly fine on a 360 that is NOT modified.

    To Play:

1] Download the 360 Arcade Collection
    2] Extract with Winrar
3] Burn the ISO to a CD / DVD.
4] Put the CD / DVD in your 360 and go to the arcade game section and play the games!

Note: On my console Totemball will show up in the game screen for a second then disappear, im not quite sure why this is, You also need a webcam to play Totem Ball so if you don’t have one you’re not missing much anyway.

For information on how to burn ISO’s have a look at the Digiex how to burn BIN, CUE, DI, DVD, GI, IMG, ISO, MDS, NRG and PDI images to disc guide

    Many Thanks Hoffman!
I'm a late-comer to the Xbox360 scene, so missed Yaris and, (the fantastic) Aegis Wing when they were first available!

Are these all the free games that have been released?

From what I know they were, Undertow was free for a limited time but was up within a week or so.

Undertow, okay I'll keep an eye out for that thanks.

Also, while searching for free games..I just read something about Burger King games? lol. They were handing them out with meals, or something?

Yeah, quite a while ago. I think you had to buy a kids meal and pay an extra 5 bucks for the game.

Undertow is linked to the profile and console that downloaded it so would only ever show up as a trial if I uploaded it.

The above 5 games have no trails so always work as full games.

The only other games you could do this with are Geometry Wars and Worms if you managed to get a download of the version given away free on memory cards. If you downloaded either of them two games and dumped them on a memory card they would work as full versions.

For obvious reasons I can’t upload either of the two games here if I had them as they are sold on Xbox Live.

I can't find anyone online to play Yaris with. I'm quite the Achievement whore, and would like to get 200/200.

If anyone here is interested, please sent me a PM. Thanks :)

How come these games play from a disc but other full games when you burn to disc can only play with a modded console. Did Microsoft turn the media flagging off with demos and free XBLA games like they did with the kiosk disc?

Yes, demos and arcade games can boot from hard drive, memory card or disc.

Well you would need it on the Xbox hard drive I think to be able to upload it to the computer. But once you have the files on the computer, yes you can burn them to a disc and play it on the xbox. Good for sharing the games with those that don't have Live.
