    Description of game:

Two new game modes have been added, one to simplify the trick system (Easy Mode) and one to make it harder (Hardcore Mode). Hardcore Mode restricts tricks to be performed at a lower height to make things such as flip-tricks and getting onto ledges harder; it has been said that you can bail on flat if you don't flick a trick hard enough. Grinds are also much harder as there isn't as much 'suction' into ledges and rails. It also takes five pushes to get to top speed on flat as opposed to the three in the last two skate games. The videos on the main website also say that Hardcore Mode is for a more sim-oriented gamer-base. Easy Mode tweaks the games physics in the opposite direction of Hardcore Mode, allowing higher ollies, faster spins, and easier (more magnetic) grinds.

    Instructions:
    1. Use a burning program to burn the file to CD or DVD. (DVD will work better)
    2. Insert CD/DVD, go to Demos tab on your Xbox 360 dashboard, select the game.
    3. Enjoy!

Played the demo a few times today and I am very pleased with the third installment of the series. The minor tweaks to the gameplay handling can be noticed by those that are familiar with the series. I love the new additions such as the revamped Hall of Meat mode. The graphics are nicely improved as well. I would say this is the best skating game to date. Tony Hawk should just give up on his games because they can never capture the realism that the Skate series offers you. Just quite Activision Tony and go over to EA...

Skate was made to be some what of a realistic skate game. Tony Hawk, which is extremely obvious that they didn't want to be realistic but wanted more of an arcade feel does it quite nicely. You can easily tell that Tony Hawk games don't want realism as they make you get millions of points which usually requires multiple air tricks, reverts, and manual tricks to get the score.

I can download it just fine, so its either a problem on your end or the problem is fixed.

Tony Hawk's arcade style gameplay is fun for a while, I couldn't play the game after trying Skate. I find using the right thumbstick to do the tricks in Skate is more enjoyable than simply using the X,B,or Y buttons as in Tony Hawk. Tony Hawk says his next game will be the most realistic skating experience ever made...I think I've heard that before; Tony Hawk's Ride comes to mind :P.
