If you want the physx software download this...run it as an admin also. This file is required by some games. Should also work with your GPU. Just as long as it has 256mbs or more.

Yes, cause the Physx card itself will only have 128mbs. Though if your using a GPU with more mbs its will work faster.

sorry to that I once again ask, but I do not get it. is a physics card now no longer necessary? and is it without card better, or worser?

I would say depending on your graphics card better, especially as graphics cards advance and new cards are released. However as I don’t own a physics card I can’t really be 100%
