Default Theme Hospital [Full Version Download + Multiplayer Patch + Windows XP/Vista Support]

Download Theme Hospital for Windows
[Full Version Download + Multiplayer Patch + Windows XP/Vista Support]

Theme Hospital is a simulation computer game developed by Bullfrog Productions and published by Electronic Arts in 1997, in which the player designs and operates a hospital. Like most of Bullfrog's games, Theme Hospital is permeated by an eccentric sense of humor. The game is the thematic successor to Theme Park, a game also produced by Bullfrog.

This is theme hospital which you have to put in to the c:/ directory for this to work. This classic comes with all the music and is great to play by yourself or over lan. It only uses ipx or a serial cable for lan play.

Download:

Download Theme Hospital [Full Version Download + Multiplayer Patch + Windows XP/Vista Support]

Use WinRAR or alternative program to extract.

Installation:

Extract onto your PC into a location of your choice, however if you do not extract the folders to the root of C:\ you will need to edit the config file and update it with a new location.

To do this, go into the hospital directory and find: HOSPITAL.CFG
Open it with Notepad or another text editor (Not WORD!)

Code:
INSTALL_PATH=G:\theme_hospital\HOSPITAL\
INSTALL_TYPE=MAX
LANGUAGE=ENG
Change the line in Red to reflect where you have placed Hospital.exe

Save, and run Hospital.exe!

Tested on Vista x64 and worked with UAC and no compatibility options though results may vary depending on location. If you have problems, right click on Hospital.exe and select Properties then go to the compatibility tab and enable "Run as Administrator" and emulate "Windows 95".

Hi I'm also having this problem on vista. I did everything I was told to do by the first post. I extracted the files, went to HOSPITAL.cgf and changed the location to:
INSTALL_PATH=C:\Users\User\Desktop\Kesh\theme_hosp ital\hospital
then when that didn't work I right clicked on hospital.exe, clicked on properties and selected compatability, 'run as administrator' and then 'run this program in compatibilty mode for windows 95' and still it did not work. Please Help!!! What am I doing wrong?

Hi, I'm using Windows XP, and have read your first post and followed it's instructions, but my problem is that when i clicked Hospital.exe, the screen with the round theme hospital "CD" pops up (ie, the normal game screen when u start theme hospital) BUT underneath it, there's a line which says "Theme Hospital required CD-ROM"
Please help me ! Thanks so much !!

Well, my English isn't very good, but it doesn't matter.
You have to place the "\" character in the end of your path too. I guess, that all of you forgot to it (so did I).

My example INSTALL_PATH=D:\Games\Bullfrog\Theme Hospital\
Now I'm sure, the things are going to be better. However I have another problem. When I want to run "patch.exe", the error shows me, that the file is not compatible with Vista 64bit. I've already tried to run it as Administrator or emulate Windows 95. Nothing happened. Could anybody help me please?

The patch has already been applied, its a 16-bit process (which wont run on a 64-bit OS) so was ran it before compressing and uploading the game.

"We". I'm the original compiler of this title, I provided this at a LAN to make things easy to get going. People look at you pretty dimly when you try to explain how to do these things, then when someone didn't listen and you have to explain again, very stressful.

Anyway, if people have trouble with this, try to keep the path short, keep it as close to the root of a drive as you can, that should stop you encountering issues. I think the limit is 40 characters or something like that for DOS executables, which I'm pretty sure this falls under.

Edit: Ha this still has my friends saves in, presumably all on the one system from where we played multiplayer.
