I'm having a major problem with uTorrent and I have no idea why. Every time I boot up uTorrent I will temporarily lose internet access. It will come back and then still my downloads are very slow and eventually lose internet access again. Its probably once every 10 minutes that I lost internet while uTorrent was on. Anyone have suggestions?\

Nevermind its still happening but its not from uTorrent. Could someone delete this thread?

Don't delete the thread just yet. But I had a similar problem, in my case, it was my network hardware overheating, maybe see how hot your hardware is getting?

It was pretty hot so I disabled a couple of things and i'll see how it goes. Though actually I doubt that its the problem as i'll even lose connection to XBL. Though it is going from my modem to my router and then Xbox. When I lose internet it still knows and is hooked up to the router it just doesn't have any internet access.

EDIT: I think that it was the problem! Its downloading with absolutely no problems and i'm still fully connected. Maybe since I was downloading with uTorrent it was making it overheat quicker. Thanks for the help.

It seems like I've also had this problem before. If it happens again to you, check you router. Make sure if it wireless, you don't have the xmit power too high and its not over clocked. Make sure you have allowed 4096 connections. As when using uTorrent it opens alot of connections. However some routers with or without custom firmware have a default value of only 512 connections. It could be overloading your router with too many connections. Also be sure to check if the port is properly forwarded. Perhaps enable uPnP on your router. Make sure the router is properly ventilated.
