I have a friend who has a leaked copy, and he needs a disk to put it on to transfer the update to his 360. Can anyone help?

If what I posted in this thread about burning the update to a CD/DVD doesn’t work for your friend either then I’m not sure.

Does your friend not have any device that can act as a USB Mass Storage Device? I would try the CD why and see if I can get it working but you can’t install the same update on your console again.

I wasted 3 CD's by just burning the file.
I then tried burning the entire '$SystemUpdate' folder to the disk, and it installed automatically when I started up my 360 (with the disk inside).
I don't know if it makes a difference, but if it gives you the option to give the CD a name (by standard it'll be the date), I named it $SystemUpdate.

Hope this helps, I gave a CD to a few of my friends.

    =)
