Hi, I was browsing web for an hour, but still could not find answer to my question:
Is it possible to share files that are installed on your x360 hard drive when you use option "Install to hard drive " ???

My TDU2 disc got badly damaged and now when I'm playing game freezes at random places and when I try to install it a "Disc can not be read" error pops up. I've tried cleaning it 1000x still the same thing. So I had this idea that if I had the files that are installed to the HDD I could inject them on my HDD and play the game.

E.g. I hooked up my x360 HDD to my pc and VIA Horizon you can see that there are installation files there for my Dirt3:

When I extract them I get 1 file and 1 folder:

Inside that folder are data files:

Soooooo - is there any way I could get files like these just for TDU2 ????

    Thank you for your answers!

Its possible if you have a jtagged or rgh hacked console, on a normal or flashed console you have to install the game from disc on your console.

If you get a game install from someone else it will not work.

So in short you need to install the game from a friends disc or a rented copy of the game, you should then be able to play with your damaged disc, providing the console can read the disc enough to know what it is.

Installed games are locked to the console they are installed on, no idea why its kinda pointless if you ask me... you still need the disc in the console to play the game anyway so i see no reason to lock them.

For locked files, is changing the IDs of the file (i.e, Console ID, device ID and Profile ID) with Modio or other program will make the file usable in other console?

You can't change anything with a gamesave resigner with files such as dlc, installed games & games on demand. It can't be used on other retail consoles.

I changed the IDs of a dlc once. in the memory tab, the xbox displayed that the owner is the new profile (the ID i used). but the dlc didn't work on that profile. What was the problem?

It requires a license(drm) to work and to obtain it you must be connected to live and either purchase the dlc or license transfer with someone that has already bought the dlc.
