Hello, my first post here. Have been browsing forums but couldn't find an answer to my question.

I have a WD 120 GB 3.5 inch sata hard drive and a X360 phat model. I usually store savegames on a USB stick and sometimes install games to a 8GB USB stick for better performance. Recently, I got the need to install more then one game but deleting one game and installing another over and over again takes time and sometimes it fails for first 2 or 3 tries before It succeds to install. So, I was wondering if I could put my 120GB 3,5 inch SATA HDD in a enclosure so it connects to Xbox via USB ports. I already modded the hard drive with Hex Workshop, used 120GB hddss.bin and it has been formated as FAT32 and the drive still works in my PC. I've been saving some money recently to buy an external enclosure but still I don't know if that will work. My Xbox is not JTGed or RGHed. I collected various information, some saying my Xbox360 needs to be JTAG/RGH, some say it does not...

TL;DR:120GB 3,5 inch hard drive in an external enclosure; will it work with Xbox360. The drive is formated as FAT32, has 120GB security sector, just need an external enclosure. Need JTG, RGH or not?
    Thank you for your time.

You can only use 16gb of the the drive to store saves, games installs and stuff when connected by USB.

If you have a Jtag / RGH console you can connect the drive via USB and use loaders like FSD or XEX Menu to load games off an external hard drive.

I think you should try to connect to your xbox and configure it as a memory device and simply use apps like horizon to inject games into but that may take some time
