Hello. I have a PSP (the first model. I think PSP 1000). I bought it a lot of years ago and today i found it so i turned it on. I remember that years ago i had installed a custom firmware (a programmer did it for me) and i could just transfer via usb games and play them. About 2 years ago i formatted it and now i don't know if it has official or custom. Anyway...

I searched a guide to install again custom and i found this oneQ https://digiex.net/guides-reviews/c...y-psp-psp-psp-slim-psp-3000-psp-go-e1000.html

First, i downloaded the official 6.60 firmware and when i open it, it says "This game could not be started (DADADADA)"
So i skipped this step, downloaded the proupdate and when i open this too it says "Sorry. This program doesn't support your FW (-some numbers-)

    So what do i do?

*If it's any helpful in system settings the system software is: 3.52 M33-4

    Sorry for my english...

The Proupdate doesn't support your firmware because you need to have 6.60 in order to install it. I'm guessing that your PSP is having an issue with going from 3.52 all the way to 6.60 or because that certain CFW (3.52 M33-4 is CFW) might have protections against being updated. I would assume it's the first one, see if you can find an official PSP firmware that is higher than your current firmware but nowhere near 6.60, maybe look for one around 4.50 and see if that allows you to update. If that does, then try to go from 4.xx to 6.60.
