    Hi all,

I have hooked up my xbox360 hdd (Extreme 120GB) to my PC. with xplorer360 and xport360 i can see and browse the partitions and folders.

I can also transfer files from/to the xbox360 hdd.

i have downloaded a title update (same region as the game). i placed it in the partition3/cache folder. but when i start the game it doesn't notify me that there are update available.

    is this normal?
if so, how can i tell it the update is successfully 'installed'?

    thx.

That is normal, it won't notify you that there are updates being used, they just are. The only time you'd be notified that there are updates is if you are connected to Xbox Live and your updates are not current. I don't think there is really a way to tell if they are working or not unless there was a specific bug that was taken out and you can tell a difference.

Some games like Halo 3 have a version number, otherwise as Dark Scyth says just see if the title update fixed the bug in the game.

    Hello there.

I'm sort of having a similar problem.
I've downloaded a title update for Dark Siders. I open up Xport 360(version 2.12) and then drop the TU file into the cache folder. After that I take my 20 gig hard drive and attach it to the 360 and start the game. My problem is this game still has massive screen tearing and I assume that the Title update solves this problem since THQ had released a patch for it a around 2 months ago. The web site where I found the title update The Game Database had the file listed a few days after the patch was released,so I think is suppose to solve the screen tearing, right?

Am I doing something wrong? Am I suppose to start a brand new game where the tearing is then gone,or do I delete my old game saves? I have noticed that up above the cache folder there is a folder listed as title update,I have even inserted the file into there but still it doesn't work.

One last thing. When I take my hard drive and snap it onto Datel Xport, hook it up to the pc and once again open up Export 360,the cache folder never has the file in it. This happens every time after I try to play the game on my 360.

Everything goes smoothly when inserting the file.
I can see that its sitting in the cache folder when I first insert it. I detach the xport, then reattach it and the file is still within the cache folder,so that part goes well.. But when I take the drive, play the game on ther 360(where the patch does not work, thats when I notice its missing once I hook the hard drive back up to my pc. What is happening?
