Create your own tournaments

If you’re the owner or admin of a club, create Arena tournaments in a snap. Just go to your club, choose the Tournaments tab, select Create tournament, choose Killer Instinct, then customize your tournament—name, start time, and other details. When you’re done, your tournament will appear in the Tournaments tab of your club.

If you don’t have a club, create one—it only takes a few minutes. To get started, press the Xbox button to open the guide, then select Home. Move over to the Community tab, select Clubs on Xbox, then choose Create a club.

Add a custom image to your profile

Personalize your profile with a custom image. Plug in a USB device with your chosen image, or download it from OneDrive (available in the Store under Apps). Then go to your profile and select Customize profile > Change gamerpic. (You’ll need to select Switch to gamerpic first if you’re replacing your avatar with a custom image.)

Select Upload a custom image and follow the steps to add your own image.

Custom images are only available for adult Microsoft accounts.

Sign in with your personal controller

Have one controller you use most? Link that controller to your profile so you’ll be signed in automatically when it turns on. To link your personal controller, press the Xbox button and go to Settings > Sign in, security & passkey.

Entertainment hub on Home

The OneGuide hub is now called Entertainment. This change reflects the many ways on Xbox to get the latest movies and TV shows. You can still connect your digital cable box to browse the Xbox program guide, which remains OneGuide. But now you get there through the Entertainment hub.

To find your Xbox One console’s operating system version:

• Press the Xbox button to return to Home.
• Press the Menu button and select Settings (or select Settings on the Home screen).
• Select System.
• Select Console info.
• Your operating system version is the third row down.
• Note If you’re in the middle of a system update and need to find your operating system version on your console, pull both triggers and both bumpers on the controller. The operating system version is listed as Build and is the second line down.
