Hello everyone. Well, I'm not really what you'd call a gamer. I'm a collector, which is a nice way of putting it. I'm actually a hoarder. Music. Movies. Software. PC Games. I was heavy into Usenet and there were tons of 360 posts. I didn't have a console, but I grabbed a few games for my brother in law. Of course he wanted more. That opened the floodgates. The hoarder in me won't settle for 10 or 20. He wants all of them. I did eventually get a 360 and a wasabi. Some games worked. Most require a system update. I got bored and packed it away in a closet. That was about 6 years ago. Did I mention I'm not a gamer? Recently, my roomate's nephews visited for a couple of weeks. So I dug out my stash to keep them entertained(quiet). It served the purpose, but 3/4 of my collection won't play without an update. I just don't know what I can update safely. I'm on the dashboard 2.0.12416.0 that it came with. I had to contact wasabi support when I first installed it in 2012. I also asked and was told that with the wasabi firmware1.2beta2 that I had, I could update the console to 2.0.14699.0. I held off. Now I have fw v1.3 BETA 2, but I don't know what dashboard it will work with. Or more importantly, which ones it won't. As far as I can tell, wasabi, the company, is gone. I've googled around for info, but there isn't much. Wasabi's own forum probably held the answers, but I guess they took it with them. It just occurred to me to check the internet archive. I'll do that tonight. I found nothing related to my situation on this site but it's very well organized and has some very knowledgable members who may be able to point me in the right direction. I want to get the most that I safely can from my hardware. Oh and I NEVER HAVE & NEVER WILL GO ONLINE. I removed the wifi card when I installed the wasabi to avoid any accidents. The wifi and the wasabi are the only modifications I've done to my console.
