The PS2 has been out for a while now. Most of you probably have a few games for the system still lying around the house. Reader Syd doesn't have a few. He has a lot. Syd - a collector who runs...The Personal Computer Museum- is on a bit of a PS2 bender at the moment, and flushed with pride, sent us this snap of his library. Over 1200 games. And Syd would like you all to know that number's not being padded with Greatest Hits variations; he only picks those up when they include worthwhile, additional content (like his Devil May Cry special edition). For reference, his first game was the original Jak & Daxter in 2002, while the 1000th game was...Chicken Little: Ace in Action. Hey, you collect, you collect the good and the bad. Source
Aww he has one more game then me. On a more serious side, I didn't even know that many games came out on PS2 and I can only wonder how much money he spent on his game collection.
I showed this to my mom, and she said that if I ever had more than 30 games, not in a hidden place, she would kick me out of her house! Haha, this is awesome!
If you added up all the games I have ever owned I don’t think it would total anywhere near 1000+ I own around 20 some Xbox 360 games and I think that’s quite a lot for me. His collection will be worth quite a lot in years to come if all the games are in mint condition.
I want to know how one person can afford so many games. Does anyone know if he actually plays them or are they exclusively for his collection?
How much money did he spend on all of them? Thats if they are original. I had like 20-30 ps2 games but all are gone.
That is alot of games!! WOW!! i wonder if he's played all those game's?? it would be cool if PS2 also had achievements, that way if that guy had played and completed all those games that he has, he would most definately have been the Ultimate Ps2 champ!! and i'd also like to know how old this guy is, and how old he was when he started his collection.....
it says his first game was the original Jak & Daxter in 2002 so he must have been collecting for atleast 7 years. Thats still well over 100 games a year though! If we guess he got all the games when they were newish at £30 a game that’s over £36,000 spent on games so would average just over £5000 a year
i wonder if he has them on the shelf in any kind of order, maybe alphabetical, maybe chronological, maybe by category. i have about 400 DVD's, and i have them in no order at all, so i have to look through all 400 to find one. but i watch mine, i dont just have em to have a collection. i mainly have them because i had a shitload of money in my late teens when DVDs came out, and spent money like an idiot in their late teens. =D
I think with so many you would have to sort them alphabetically, good job I don’t have that many games all mine are just on the shelf in the order I purchased them
I put mine on my media rack in alphabetical order. My DVDs on the other hand are just thrown up in any order.
I would be amazed if he had played them all, i have about 20ish 360 games and some of them ive got no where on!
just imagine yourself, you wanted to play a game, but you didn't know which one, what would you do? and when he wants to find that specific one he you might need to climb a ladder to do so.
