Perfect Dark in UE4

    Perfect Dark²
    What is it?
    It's fan remake of original Perfect Dark (in UE4)
    When it will be released?
    Nobody knows. Only i am working on it and there is lots of stuff that need to be done (AI, hands+better weapon holding/reloading anim, and all missions)
    Why i am creating it?
    Because i want to learn UE4. Also i think Perfect Dark needs to be remade. Because Micro$oft does nothing, i want to remake it.
    What is the price?
    It's for free!
    Why?
    Because when it's free, at least someone will play it. Don't expect big from it. I am not Rare before 2002
    Why i am only developer of this?
    If you want to help me, please message me. I need
    - Perfect Dark assets (i am using N64 as placeholder, but they aren't good. XBLA is much better, but i don't know, how to rip anything from it.
    - Maybe some better animations? (i am using Anim starter pack)
    Do you want to request something?
    If it isn't hard or stupid, i can implement it.

    I restarted development and renamed it Perfect Dark². Now it uses awesome high poly models from defunct Perfect Dark: Source instead of models from N64 version
    I think the models from PD XBLA are best, but i don’t know how to rip them.
    Please note:
    This game isn’t 1:1 remake of original. Lots of stuff will be different.
    Stuff done:
    Basic player movement
    Main menu

    Weapons (fully working, with placeholder reload animation)
    AI (work in progress)

    UPDATE: Sorry, but i must pause development, because i don't have any Perfect Dark models (except N64, which are not of course looking good in UE4). If someone can help me with ripping models from XBLA version/recreating them and importing them into UE4, i will try to complete and release it.

    Good luck!

    I think you need the passion to stick at something like this, so if you have it then go for it. It won't be an easy project to do.

    This is only for isos. The game is XBLA (STFS package), which i extracted, but don't know how to rip models from PackedSegFile and Textures.raw

    Well, it actually does not look so good (it's only for main menu, where you cannot look around). Also i didn’t use BSP, because i didn’t know about it.

    UPDATE: Working on ammo and reloading system is fully working. Should be done tomorrow, so i can start working on enemies.
    UPDATE: Almost anything except missions done, but i have major problems with hands implementing.

    One thing is bad:
    There are almost no PD models available online and when i try to rip them from N64, they really don't look good in UE4. PD: Source stuff are awesome, but some models (dataDyne guard) look weird. I have no clue how to rip from XBLA version, which has best models. I'll use models from PD: Source as placeholder and once i'll find something better, i'll replace it.
