    So who is buying this?

Best Sonic game released in the last 10 years maybe?!

If the game is 60fps on the PC i shall be buying it on Steam.

Can't say i've been a fan of Sonic since Adventure 2. It is in development by Sonic Team/Sega so I doubt it'll be a whole 60FPS, people love only going for 30FPS which is a shame honestly.

I have to agree with Scyth, the last good sonic game was Sonic Adventure 2, I really do think Sega could have finally cracked it with Generations though.

Then again I think this image sums up what usually happens with a Sonic game:

From playing the demo anyway I really enjoyed the game, the only downer so far is that it runs at 30fps, which is just appears too slow on the 2d levels for me.

Might have to get it on Steam. It's only £19.99 right now if you pre-order and you get two classic Sonic games :D, but like some of you have said I do hope it's going to be 60fps. I didn't mind the slowdown on 2D levels as much as InsaneNutter but it's definitely noticable :(

£19.99 for the pc version is a great price, i might need a new graphics card to play it though.

Minimum is 512mb of ram apparently, recommended is 1GB... I have a 256MB 8800GT so we shall see! Not played anything for a while but it managed Crysis 2 ok so should play a sonic game!

I've already preordered it on PC. It supports Xbox 360 Gamepad, and more FPS than the Xbox can handle! ;)

Plus Steam Acheivements, Cloud Game Saving :D

After playing for the last 2 hours on Steam, I can tell you... BRILLIANT :D

Turn V-Sync off and the Frames go wild! :D way more than 30FPS on the console version... Oh and the game supports my native resolution of 2560x1440 with full AA so it looks unbelievably sexy.

Has a Configuration Tool for Graphics and Controllers. For people who don't have the Video Ram, a lower resolution (720p) and no AA will work fine.

It has online leaderboards for time trial which works nicely with your Steam friends to.\

    Recommend Purchase :D

(Only Down Side is a lack of Windowed mode that I could find, no doubt some command line parameter or update will add Windowed mode for when I'm playing and doing other stuff.

Some screenshots from my PC in native resolution:

Always happens around game launches, that's why they have pre-orders and pre-loading ;)

I only did not pre order as i wasn't sure if a 256MB 8800GT would be up to the job, it's more than capable though!

Yes, wonderful game. Beat up like 2 hours of game play. It can not get any better. For all classic fans and nostalgia seekers. It is very close to Sonic Hedgehog 2 classic. You can switch between older Sonic and the younger one.

I couldn't resist this game and puchased it last Friday. Only played about 2 hours of it so far (aint got far as I'm S ranking all levels as I go along) and I've seen a few bugs and had a few crashes but all in all I'm very happy with it. Definitley one of the best Sonic games I've played in a long long time. Great job Sega and such a great steal on the PC (not even delayed might I add :))

I've bought it. I paid over the top for the game on the PS3, and at the weekend I bought Sonic Generations on the 360 (which i think is better than the ps3 version graphic-wise)
