Default Driver for ISSCEDRBTA Bluetooth Dongle in Windows XP SP2 and SP3

Bluetooth Dongle (ISSCEDRBTA) Driver for Windows XP SP2 and SP3

Purchased one of those cheap USB dongles like the one at http://www.ledshoppe.com/Product/com/CA3010.htm for only 5 dollars but found to use it you need to spend money on the software? Or if you have found a cracked version or actually bought it and found its useless and wanted to use the built in Bluetooth in Windows XP SP2 or 3? Well now you can!

    USB Bluetooth Dongle:

(Note: Design can vary and may not look like above)

What I have done is modified the Bluetooth driver file that comes with XP SP2, to include this dongle by adding its hardware ID to the supported devices list.

Before you can install this, you must make sure you have updated your XP to at least Service Pack 2, as this included the Bluetooth Support Addon.

To install, download and extract all the files somewhere, like for example on your desktop in a folder called Bluetooth drivers. Then plug the stick in, Windows will fail to find the drivers and ask you to either provide a location for them, or provide a CD. Provide the location and give Windows the folder location of the extracted drivers. Windows will now install the drivers and your Dongle will be ready for use.
You should now be up and running with the Windows Bluetooth Interface, which you can find in Control Panel or in the System Tray.

You have now got a dirt cheap Bluetooth Adaptor to work fully without having to pay extra for any rubbish software.

    Information:

Download is below for Windows XP SP2 and above.

If your using Windows Vista (either 32-bit or 64-bit) you may be interested in the Vista version of these drivers located at:
    http://digiex.net/drivers/80-driver-...4-bit-x64.html

    Please:
If this Bluetooth Driver works for you and saved you having to spend money on the terrible Bluesoleil Bluetooth drivers, consider donationg a couple of dollars to Digiex. This server costs $40 a month which is being paid for by a student and money would go towards bandwidth costs. If this did help you please consider donating, its worth rewarding those who helped you for nothing.

You can donate by clicking here.

    Thank you

Why won't it download for you? At the bottom of the post you can see the file (BluetoothXP.zip). Just click it and it should download. If not, try right clicking --> save target as.

Looks like a good idea, but .... even though I've registered and logged in, the site claims I'm linking from another site (I'm not) and gives an ugly warning about leechers. What is up with that??

It's most likely a conflict with a security package you have installed on your PC such as Norton Internet Security or another similar package from another company. Software like this can sometimes block the referring URL you clicked the download link from, this means the Digiex web server is unable to tell if you clicked on the link from Digiex or another website, this can cause the error about leeching the download.

You can disable such software and try and download the driver again, if that doesn’t work send me a private message with your email address and I'll send you the drivers.

Hey there, it will be possible to hack these drivers to work in Windows XP X64, however at the time the drivers were originally hacked no one at Digiex had a 64bit XP install to do this.

Nimrod is currently on holiday and won’t be back for at least another week, if you check back then or send him a message he should be able to help you get the Bluetooth dongle working on XP 64bit.
