i have xbox 360 which is dvd drive flashed and i never go to xbox live
but if i use this update than will it lock my console even if i dont connect with xbox live ?

Just wonder if this update will erase my video codec aka 'optional media update' from xbox hdd?

No as it disables Xbox Live access until the dash is released, who knows what the dash can do when connected to live.
You will probably be banned before Christmas either way

No it will not, update and enjoy.

No because your Xbox 360 has never been on live to send data back to Microsoft about what it has has been doing offline.

In theory it could detect the firmware when you update the dash and flag you for a ban next time you go on live. Your console logs what it does offline anyway so I guess that wouldn't really be anything new.

You will have to update to the Kinect dash sometime in the future anyway, it will be included on the disc with new games.

but what are things can microssoft knows about my console
as I think
they just know the Game you played and when you played it
or
they know somethings more about my console ?

Nope, i downloaded them on a different console to what i flashed this update on and get the same error message you do when demos are console locked.

KingBurns installed the dash update on his console that downloaded them, he said they begin to load however require a connection to Xbox Live so its not possible to use them.

hi everyone thanks for everythingnow as you may know that the update i leaked well you cant get on live well i found the guy that gave it to me his youtube and when he restarted his consoel it wanted xbox live and it worked.9for him) im trying to get the live files from him thanks

My name isn't D4rkScyth on youtube, I didn't call him a dumbass and didn't link to this site so kids didn't get scammed. Obviously if a admin wants me to remove the link let me know and i'll remove as soon as I see someone asking me to. I was hoping it would blow the fuse, guess whoever Jtagged it took out that resistor? I hate to see a Jtag go to waste but i'm sorta glad it happened to him, just proved to himself he doesn't know a damn thing of what he is doing.

That video is hilarious, if he wasn't trying to big himself up so much and trying (very badly) to charge people money for the Kinect dash I would feel quite bad he ruined his jtag and doesn't even know it yet.

The link is fine Dark Scyth, hopefully no one will buy the Kinect dash off him.

It makes me angry to know that people like this have a Jtag console. He had to be spoon fed at pretty much everything about it and still didn't learn a thing. Its pretty bad that I actually have the know-how to make a Jtag console and know way more about a Jtag then he knows yet i'm without one and well, now he is too lmao. That really has to suck though. I know I definitely would of taken the modded console over the Kinect dashboard that is still pretty useless as he doesn't have Kinect. This would actually make a good video for the funnies section, failing at its best, although I have a feeling that the user will remove the video.

I really am speechless at the stupidity in that video
Looking at his other videos he is charging for 10th lobbies so I really dont feel bad at all, Jtags should not be used for cheating / hacking on live.

Scyth if I remember right you are from the US, have a look on Xbox-Scene. People sell Xbox 360's that are jtaggable or 360's that have been Jtagged all the time.

You sound like the sort of person who would actually take care of a Jtag, If I had any Jtags left I would offer you one at a fair price.

If I had the money i'd probably get myself a Jtag as there are some games from Japan i'd love to try. Things like this I don't take lightly because if i'm going to mod a console I do enough research to know how/why consoles are bricking from the modding and the best way to prevent that. I've modded multiple consoles and haven't bricked any unless fully knowing that I could unbrick it, then I may do a couple experiments with my own code as if i'm a mad scientist. Also I think that blocking Live from FreeBoot is a awesome idea, I hate it when people pretty much scam kids for that and its just for a little logo that honestly no one cares about and its rather easy to tell if it was boosted or not. I got into a free 10th lobby and prestige once and then I hated it, although i've got my stats up to the prestige that I am (if not more then) I wish I would of stayed at the first one and just left it alone at that. End of my giant rambling that is probably just annoying by now.

Hi there all thanks for the dash update . Am just wondering b4 i update my banned console. I hdd swap so i can still game offline and uncorupt my profile for my unmodded live console. If i do update the banned one, and then add my hdd will the update transfare that and thus when connecting it bk to my unmodded live box. Will the update try to kick in on that console too?
