Information:

This is a beta, 2.0.12611.0 is the final version, ro download that visit this topic: Xbox 360 Kinect Dashboard Update 2.0.12611.0

The Kinect Dashboard you all want! ;) A big thanks to xXXBOXxHACKERXx for this.
This will disable your Xbox Live access until the dashboard is officially released, you have been warned.
Also do not update a Jtag hacked Xbox 360 with this, although that should go without saying...

How to install:
1.) Extract the contents of 20124160_BETA.rar
2.) Put the $SystemUpdate folder in the root of a CD or USB Stick (Must be FAT or Fat32 formatted)
3.) Insert the CD or USB Stick into your Xbox 360 console.
4.) You will be automatically prompted to update with a USB stick, with a CD / DVD it should say Mixed Media Disc, power down the 360 and power it on again. You should be ask to update before the 360 boots to the dashboard.
5.) Once the update is complete your Xbox 360 will restart then boot up to the new dashboard. Enjoy!

Want to update your console and keep the homebrew exploit?
In this case you want the 7371 update from June 2009, this is the last update before the Jtag hack was fixed.

but i have a doubt ?
i have xbox 360 which is dvd drive flashed and i never go to xbox live
but if i use this update than will it lock my console even if i dont connect with xbox live ?
 
Just wonder if this update will erase my video codec aka 'optional media update' from xbox hdd?

No as it disables Xbox Live access until the dash is released, who knows what the dash can do when connected to live.
You will probably be banned before Christmas either way ;)

No because your Xbox 360 has never been on live to send data back to Microsoft about what it has has been doing offline.

In theory it could detect the firmware when you update the dash and flag you for a ban next time you go on live. Your console logs what it does offline anyway so I guess that wouldn't really be anything new.

You will have to update to the Kinect dash sometime in the future anyway, it will be included on the disc with new games.
 
but what are things can microssoft knows about my console
as I think
they just know the Game you played and when you played it
or
they know somethings more about my console ?
 
erm guys those of u who have installed this and have the beta games which got leaked from xbox.com. have any of you lot tried those games out? ^o)

Nope, i downloaded them on a different console to what i flashed this update on and get the same error message you do when demos are console locked.

KingBurns installed the dash update on his console that downloaded them, he said they begin to load however require a connection to Xbox Live so its not possible to use them.

hey thanks everyon and insane nutter you too and could i get the files for no dance central but the kinect joyride one thats on you dashboard thanks

hi everyone thanks for everythingnow as you may know that the update i leaked well you cant get on live well i found the guy that gave it to me his youtube and when he restarted his consoel it wanted xbox live and it worked.9for him) im trying to get the live files from him thanks
