Microsoft has signed a deal with Fox to sponsor a variety show produced by "Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane. The special show, named "Family Guy Presents: Seth & Alex's Almost Live Comedy Show", will air on November 8 in the US. As reported by Neowin the show will feature no commercial ad time, no network promotions and no commercial breaks -- and instead will feature unique humor with original animation, live-action performances of "Family Guy's" most memorable musical numbers, comedy sketches and surprise celebrity guests. It's expected the sketches will focus on simplifying your PC and how easy and fast Windows 7 is to use. "We're working with FOX on innovative brand integrations that will show how the power and simplicity of Windows 7 can enhance the content FOX viewers love," said Gayle Troberman, general manager of consumer engagement and advertising at Microsoft. "We have simplified the PC with Windows 7, and together with FOX, we're simplifying entertainment." The 30 min special will be airing Sunday, Nov. 8, at 8:30 p.m. EST and PST.
Yup. We Americans are really pathetic. Show us manufactured "visual proof" of something and we'll believe every damn word of your argument. Example: Fox "News" Network... the most popular news channel. 99.5% right-wing propaganda. But, hey, they trademarked the slogan "fair and balanced" so no competitors are allowed to utter those words and Fox can claim it for themselves, even though it's totally false. Yes, we are the dumbest, laziest, stupidest country on the planet. BTW- I love Windows 7 and already advance ordered my real paid-for copy of it. But my point it that the TV media is totally for sale here. If you had enough TV Ad money, you could easily convince Americans that it's a good idea to end democracy and just trust corporations to do the right things, giving them full control of government. Last I checked, that was called fascism. It worked real well in Germany and Italy when radio was new. We had government intervention to prevent that kind of thing back then. We don't now.
