As of tomorrow it is expected that the Xbox 360 Arcade will be available for £99.97 - Wii price reduction also coming. MCV reports that Sainsbury's is set to offer substantial price reductions for the Xbox 360 and Wii video game consoles from tomorrow. According to the publication's sources the Xbox 360 Arcade will go on sale at £99.97 - a £30 price cut - while the 60GB model will be available for £139.97. It's not just the Xbox 360 which will be going cheap, with MCV sources stating the Wii will be available for only £149.97. The price cuts won't be permanent though, with MCV noting that Sainsbury's will run the promotion between October 3 and October 12.
That’s an amazing price, it almost makes you want to buy another just for lans or to mod it when the 360 is finally exploited to run homebrew stuff like on the Xbox 1.
Well the 360 has been out coming up to 3 years now. I think the PS2 was around the same price point three years into it's life as well. Quite amazing when you consider that even the launch 360 games still hold up well by todays standards . *Sighs* I have fond memories of Kameo, beating that water boss with InsaneNutter as he found it too hard on Single Player (as did I).
Where can I buy this at? As InsaneNutter suggests is does make you wanna buy one for lan or modding just cause of that extremely cheap price! Do they ship to the USA?
You actually have to go in to a store to buy it King, Sainsburys is a really big supermarket over here, they do have a website but that’s mainly selling food and stuff for home delivery. I could perhaps get one and ship it to you if you really wanted one but you gotta think £100 = $178 and I bet shipping to the USA on something as heavy as an Xbox 360 would be another $50+ easy so it don’t really work out as such a good deal when you can get them for $199 on Amazon.com
