GameCube Save Converter is a useful tool that can easily switch the region of GameCube save games.

It can convert a GameCube save game to EUR (PAL), USA (NTSC) or Japan (NTSC-J) regions

GameCube Save Converter will work on modern versions of Windows, such as Windows 10, however you will need COMDLG32.OCX which I have also provided.

    1. Download COMDLG32 and unzip it.
    2. Copy COMDLG32.OCX to C:\Windows\System
    3. Open Command Prompt with admin rights (Right clcik and run as administrator)
    4. Type: cd C:\Windows\System
    5. Type: regsvr32 comdlg32.ocx

In the GBA Pokemon games English used a different font than in English version vs the Japanese games. Messing up font for legality if a save was transferred between games. Will trainer name's be the wrong font in the Gamecube Pokemon games too?

The best thing is to do is try it with the game in question.

I can tell you it certainly has issues with some games, for example Pokemon Box US saves will load on a PAL copy, however when you try save it will simply crash.

Same games like Sonic Adventure 2 have no issues though from what I recall. I think it depends how much the game has been localised for other regions compared to the region the save you are using is from.
