Missed out on getting a Red Alert 3 BETA Key from Fileplanet?
We have a few spare, and to win them, all you have to do is post and play a game!

This may sound like a joke, but we are deadly serious. We have done a lot of work on fixing bugs on our arcade system and we need users to test it. To win all you need to do is play Super Mario Flash and score the highest score by the deadline. Its as simple as that, we hope you have fun while helping us test the arcade and good luck to everyone!

The RA3 Key was obtained from Fileplanet and has not been used. You can use it as you wish

How to enter:

Make 10 posts throughout the forum to unlock the game in question.
Play "Super Mario" on Digiex Arcade by clicking here.
Get the highest score by the end of Tuesday Evening (26th - GMT/UTC)!
The winner will have a key private messaged to them.

Why 10 posts?

Many people have just signed up without posting, we want to ensure this is open to anyone who has made a contribution during this open beta and not people signing up just for a key. Just make 10 posts which arent just spam and you will be able to play the game.

Rules

We want to make this contest as simple as possible, without a massive terms and conditions but we must set a few ground rules. For users with less than 10 posts its clear you will most likely go round the forum posting so we need to make one thing clear. Posts which are just spam like "I agree" and "Thanks" will make your entry into this contest void. If you intend to post 10 times just to play they must be 10 serious posts. Also staff members at Digiex are not allowed to take part in the contest, any member of staff who records a high score will just be ignored and the person below will win. Anyone caught cheating will be banned on the spot, if you secure a really high score miles ahead of everyone else its recommended you screenshot your score just as you die on your last life incase the score is questioned.

We hope that you will stick around after this contest as you will find Digiex will offer a lot, we were the site to leak the first ever build of Windows 7, as well as one of the first sites with Red Alert 3 Beta. So in the future, we will offer more

Note to Firefox Users:

A bug still exists in the Arcade with Super Mario and score submission. Firefox 3 users are recommended if they are making a serious attempt at a score, that they use Internet Explorer for their attempt. I hate IE like many people, but I havent fixed this bug in time for this contest.

The score is always zero when using Firefox, or at least thats what I found during testing. Safari and Internet Explorer seemed ok. If you have found differently please let us know.

To answer a few concerns:

The main reason this is done with an Arcade game and not something like "Donate and get a key" or "become a proper member" is to test the arcade. I've spent ages trying to get the new type of games called "v32" working with our arcade system with some luck. By using Super Mario which is a "v32" game and reporting when it doesnt work will help towards fixing it. Myself I could only replicate the problem when I used Firefox, or had the game open twice. So if you do get a zero score, some information like browser and addons would greatly help.

At the end of Tuesday we will announce the winner, and also three more competitions. As the three keys were unexpectedly given to us, we will do them with solid arcade games which we know fully work, allowing a more fair competition with no benefit for us (ie, we dont need them testing, they work) so stay tuned for that.

There has also been a massive uproar in the amount of spamming posts. We selected 10 posts to ensure people who have actively been helping in the RA3 cracking efforts were the ones in the contest, not some random person from the internet wanting a key. We knew some of you with less than 10 posts would go on a posting spree and we were very specific above when we said no spam. We have had posts which aren't even a sentence saying "Oh good review thanks" and others like "new games". Let me stress this, If you post rubbish just to build up a post count you account / email / ip will just be set to banned. You will not be able to take part in any other competitions or any downloads we offer now or in the future. So consider this your final warning.

I have had Firefox (not V3) screw me over a couple of times. >.< I think it is merely a problem in disconnecting your login for "Inactivity" when you are actually playing the game. It did it to me countless times before I caught on. So now if I use Firefox while playing the Super Mario Arcade, I simply open up 2 windows and once I find a safe area I "save" by refreshing the other window of DGN keeping my account "Active." Affective yet tiresome.

I may end up using IE because this is getting old... lol

Lol major bug if you finish the game a few times. I had over 200000pts and finished the game like 3x, but when I died I had 0 pts.
