Sick of dragging photos onto Messenger to find instead of sending them, Messenger loads the rubbish Photo Sharing Application? With this patch you can remove photo sharing from coming up when you send pictures.

To apply the patch, simply download the patch:
Download Windows Live Messenger Photo Sharing Remover

Check your Messenger version by opening your contact list and clicking on Help > About
Your version needs to be: Version 2009 (14.0.8064.206)

If yours is not the version above, I wouldnt recommend trying this patch as the hex-address may have changed! Just wait and I am sure I will release a patch for a newer version when it comes because I hate Photo Sharing.

Next load up the patch you downloaded and you will be presented with the following Window:
(Vista/Windows 7 users will have to allow UAC prompt to allow it to edit a file in Program Files)

Click the "..." icon next to the file name and locate your Messenger file, it should be in Program Files\Windows Live\Messenger

Now you will need to ensure Messenger is closed (not hidden in tray icon) before patching, otherwise it will fail!

    Click Start to patch!
Fingers crossed you should be able to open messenger and drag files onto messenger windows once again, if its failed dont panic, the patch made a backup in your messenger directory, just restore the backup file.

Patched my MSN 9 and it works perfectly!

I hate how the Windows Live team feel they have to add so many usless features to MSN, 8.5 is better if your not on Windows 7.

Nimrods patch and Apatch (google it) make MSN 9 usable atleast.
