Its that time of the week, Digiex Arcade Mondays!

(*) Congratulations Nimrod who won last weeks Rollercoaster Creator competition! (*)

This week we are adding two games to the Arcade instead of the usual one! We have a Bomberman Clone and a Uber version of the arcade classic Breakout.

To top it off, we would like to announce that the Arcade is now open to all, even unregistered users (guests) can play games in our Arcade! Though to have your score saved for the leaderboard you will need to be logged in. We openly encourage all members to play in the Arcade and introduce friends to it and your friends can drop by and play without an account.

    Now on to the games...
    Bomberman

A simple Bomberman clone for you to enjoy. The game supports only one local player, but you can have up to 3 other computer players, the more players the more points that go towards your score! You control your character using the arrow keys, and pressing ; to plant a bomb. Points are rewarded based on the time in took to kill off your opponents, though points are deducted when you die so be careful! If at the end of the game your score is negative, you will get a score of zero on the leaderboard.

    Uber Breakout 2

Based on the classic game Breakout (which is also in our Arcade) this version brings a new twist by adding two bumpers stuck round a circle. Your goal is to destroy the orbs in the center and keep your ball from touching the sides. During later stages, different types of orbs appear to make the game more challenging, including directional and multi-hit orbs. At the end of the game after you have lost all your lifes, you get the chance to submit your score (if registered and logged in) to the leaderboard!

The winners will be announced next week when we will also be starting our Yeti Sports marathon! All 10 Yeti games will appear on the Arcade, a new one every week until they are all up. Not only will we announce the winner of each game every week, but the overall winner (person with the most wins over all 10 games) will get announced at end and will win the title of Yeti Championship on their user profile!

Could we get bomberman multiplayer with other users?
    That would be excellent.

Uber Breakout 2 is fun. Bomberman is something I'm a little confused about playing. I don't know what the objective is or how to play. Though Thanks for adding them to the arcade.

You basically have to plant bombs to blow the arena up to get to your enemies, you also collect power-ups to make your bombs more powerful.
You win by killing all the other Bombermen.

Its not possible to play the arcade games in real time over the internet however it is possible to challenge a Digiex user to a game, that user can accept the challenge and play at any time, the person who gets the highest score in that challenge wins (you only get one attempt if it’s a challange for most games)

There's something wrong with bomberman, I seem to get a highscore without actually doing anything.
The grid keeps bricking itself up!
