You just spilled the beans. They have milched soo much out of a franchise that everybody once loved so much.... now its feels that they dont even care about there fans... Its just money money money to them so sad
Great, so i can finally play in all the play lists once again as I have the mutlplayer cd with all the maps from odst, now Bungie release more maps which will once again mean i carnt play in the majority of play lists....
The same thing happened when new maps where released for Gears of War. Just play the regular maps and they'll make the new ones free to download eventually and if not, stick to the regular ones. It's only 3 maps so I don't think that it's worth the fuss.
Its 3 more maps, meaning a total of 12 maps, lots of people bought the maps when they first came out meaning they spent $30 just on maps for a multiplayer aspect of a game, which that alone I find rediculous and then on top of that some of my XBL friends bought ODST just to have the multiplayer maps, meaning they spent $90 just for multiplayer. ODST was a waste of time, the campaign was about 4 hours long or so and had Firefight which becomes boring rather quickly. Bungie has released the first map pack for free but I believe the other 2 still cost the same amount and I doubt they plan to change that anytime soon. The reason why this really gets to me is why didn't Bungie release ODST and the map pack at the same time.
I wasn't aware of that (I don't follow the Halo games or related content) but that's a real eye opener. I think you answered your own question earlier: So despite the obvious disapproval here at Digiex to what Bungie has been up to, will any of you [continue to] buy future Halo games or content?
I will continue to buy Halo games and continue to be very skeptical regarding buying DLC. For myself, I never bought any of the DLC's, but I did buy ODST on the cheap so I got all the content (campaign and original maps) with Halo 3, then all the maps at once plus ODST which is better value. However they really did mess up for people who bought Halo 3 Maps DLC, as if they wanted ODST they got a multiplayer disc to which had the content they already bought (hence, bought twice)
I only bought Halo 3 because my friend kept bugging me and I unfortunately bought the DLC with it. I definitely don't and won't get ODST nor Reach, fortunately I don't like the games.
