That error sounds like a problem setting the resolution, this game runs at 640*480, which your monitor may not support.

COOL GAME! It works for me now! I had the same problem as most at first. The one about needing a CD to run the game. But when I copy pasted the extracted "hospital" folder right onto my /:C drive or Local disk folder, it worked perfectly without editing the Hospital.CFG file. Hope it helps:)

But I just have one concern. How do I run the game in full screen? I can't seem to figure it out and any help will be highly apprecitiated. :) Thanks!

I don't know if it will work with an old game such as this but pressing Alt + Enter on most games usually makes it go full screen. If that doesn't work is there no option under graphics or what not that says full screen or does it mention playing in a window or windowed mode?

    Fix for Mouse Lag Problem

    Windows 7 32bit

I was having the mentioned mouse lag problem with this game. I fixed it by setting the CPU affinity to ALL cpu's instead of the defaulting 1 in the task manager.

It can also be done with a batch file in the hospital folder.

    taskkill /f /IM Explorer.exe
    Start /affinity 3 hospital.exe
    pause
    Start Explorer.exe

This affinity number is for windows 7 dual core processors only 3 meaning to start all cpu cores on program start.

    Hi guys :D
Ive installed the game (without eny problems) and entered the game, this si the first version I've been able to downloade with sound, thanks! :D
But there is one problem when I play the game... My mouse is spassing out. It won't "move" fluently but has a sort of laggy movement, but is ONLY when the games is playting, when I pause it there is nothing wrong with the mosue and it moves like it normally does... Anybody else having these kind of problems?

Because the problem has to do with CPU Affinity, doesn't matter what OS. Set the game to use all CPU cores and see if that makes a difference.

The batch file is a fix for windows 7 dual core because thats all I have tested it on.

The issue I had with the mouse was it run fine and then got laggy for 30sec and then was fine and then got laggy again. Using all CPU cores fixed the problem.

[strike]This sounds useful but what exactly is a "batch" file and how do I go about making one. Or is it some external file I should be opening up in notepad and messing with like the cfg file?

Graphically its kinda shoddy, changed the 256 and all that and it's not working properly exactly. [/strike]

Wish those Bullfrog people would just redo the game. With 360 zoom. Other then that it's a fine fine game.

Have made/run the batch file in Hospital folder and it seems to have fixed all the graphics problems which is awesome. What it hasn't done is fixed the lagging mouse. Its gone worse actually >_> How do I fix that?

Now only it needs to work!

Use a different download manager? Try a different web browser? If that doesn't work let me know.

Ok I unzip the file to my c: drive under the name hospital. When I double click hospital.exe. I get the picture of the theme hospital disc. Then it switches to the doctor with the chainsaw. Then the screen will blink over and over. When I press any button the box to enter the name comes up for a second then the game crashes with this error:

    Problem signature:
    Problem Event Name: BEX
    Application Name: Hospital.exe

    I'm running Windows 7 64bit,
    Core i3 2.93 Ghz
    4gb ram
    No video card
If anyone can help I would appreciate it, I love this game and can't get it to work. In the video it shows the game screen in the top left corner and with the colors messed up. That was only in the recording on my screen the colors are right and it is fullscreen.

RIGHT PEOPLE WHO ARE GETTING THE ERRORS FOR NEEDING A CD:

    - Download the file
    - double click the file so it opens in winrar
    - press ctrl-a to select all the files
    - then click "extract to" in winrar
    - then click the C drive, create a new folder named "hospital"
    - extract the files to this folder
    - voila, play theme hospital from this folder :)

    Hi,

I love this game! Great to have it downloaded.
But I have this strange error. When I open the exe. file, I can see the disc image of Theme Hospital, but then it says:

    heap allocation failure
    (reason code: 2)

And I have to agree, and then the game stops.
    What does this mean?
I followed the instructions on the first page. I use Windows Vista.
    Can anyone please help?

    Thanks

I installed Theme Hospital and I can play the game. However, I don't see a multiplayer game anywhere, where can I find it?
Also, how can you zoom out in the game?

    Theme hospital

Hey, Thank you so much I followed everything that was said on here, and although it took me a long time to understand i finally got it to load. I have one problem at the moment and that is that the colour is terrible and is really pixelated. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what the best screen resolution and colour depth would be for my Windows 7 laptop. Please help :S
