There's hardly any one on here any more. The people only come on now to check to see if the new dashboard is coming. We need to get something new to this site like making a tool of its own like horizon and xbox 360 tools. We could call it the digiex 360 tool.
I agree, it is quite boring. I only come here to talk about Xbox 360 Dashboard Development, I really don't see what else there is to do. If there is a tool made, who's going to be the programmer of it? You'll have to know the exact formats and the signing methods to produces signed CONs/GPDs, it is a pretty complex process for one to do by himself. There are lots of tools widely available, there's no need for another.
The site is fine if you ask me, you have to remember its not a massive website like all these Xbox hacking websites your comparing it This site is also not full of copied + pasted sh*t like some sites i could name, most content here is original such as the great 360 tutorials which i'm sure is how many of us ended up here. To me anyway I think of the site as a small community, and love it like that. If you think it lacks things to talk about then why not post some new stuff? I usually only ever see new stuff posted by the same few people. At the moment 440 users are online, that's a lot of people reading even if they are not posting.
Why do you have an obsession with mod tools? That's not what digiex is about. The site is nowhere near dying. People just don't post a lot. Personally I check the site at least 3 times a day, sometimes I post if I can relate to the thread/have an opinion on it and sometimes I just do a quick check for spam. There are plenty of people who just browse and don't post and even more who browse that have never registered. Digiex never had it in mind to create a trivial mod tool. They've just done what they can to help people and leak major content before anyone else (excluding pirating measures). They've also never wanted to be the biggest site out there, granted they don't mind the visitors at all, they aren't going to push for extra visits.
And this, my friends, is an example of a near-perfect representation of my own thoughts. This isn't a social site or a hacking site (though there are a few posts pertaining to those subjects). Digiex is mostly here for its users to share digital content that may be difficult to find elsewhere and read guides to either help them use the aforementioned content or modify their system in some way.
You said better than me an in fewer words! Digiex isn't based on one subject like a lot of sites are, this site isn't derived on or fueled by one thing that being said they'll do what they can to make the site more unique and bring rare content no matter how big or odd it may be. It also means they'll (including me and other users provided they have knowledge about it) do what they can to help with problems you may have. The thing that makes the site unique is because it's small, though it may be small it still has quite the unique fanbase that is hard to come by.
Digiex has never had a single purpose like most websites do, people have come here for many different reasons. With this in mind only certain things are going to interest certain people. You might be interested in reading the history of Digiex to better understand the site, and how it became what it is: The History of Digiex Our main goal is to provide high quality tutorials and rare and unique downloads, something i think we do quite well, I think its great a little community has built up on the forums too. Many people here play Minecraft and Unreal Tournament together on the Digiex servers, we have also had some big Digiex games on Xbox Live in the past. Gears, Halo, Modern Warfare, Blur and Crackdown spring to mind. I hope to see people playing Gears 3 next month too! This is a quite time of the year for websites that have a big focus on technology / gaming related content. Gaming wise nothing happens this time of year, everything usually comes from the end of September to Christmas. Its also summer for countries in the northern hemisphere, more people are out doing stuff, going on holidays and so on. Over past few years the site has been significantly more active towards the end of the year. Some interesting stats for Digiex however, July 26th to August 25th over the last 4 years: 2008 we had 276,435 pageviews 2009 we had 417,595 pageviews 2010 we had 756,380 pageviews 2011 we had 1,041,083 pageviews Over a million is not bad for a dead website the first time we ever hit a million was near Christmas last year, now were managing it when the site is quieter.
