Basically what the heading says... I just wanted to start this thread to see... What and how would it look if digiex had a mobile site, at the same time, i think at the moment digiex.net is perfect i've been browsing with my mobile (nokia n81) and its quite fine (if i rotate the screen), but it would be cool if it was like all on 1 screen makin it more simple... So just your thoughts on this?

I've considered it before, as theres a lot of mods that can make the forum fit on a mobile device better, but everytime I look at the browser usage, the most popular device is the iPhone, which Digiex fits on perfectly, followed closely by Nokia S60 devices (which use the same browser engine).

It be nice to know if any members have had real difficulty browsing the site on there mobiles.

I actually run into problems when using Opera Mobile on my Samsung Omnia. I cannot post anything because when I click the text box to try and type something, nothing happens. I am able to post and type when I run IE Mobile instead of Opera. Not sure why it doesn't work on Opera.

Urgh Opera Mobile, even a basic theme wouldn't make the text editor work in that which you type in to post. The best thing to do is uninstall that rubbish. Glad to hear it works in IE Mobile.

I personally don't like Opera very much, but sites fit better on that than they do on IE Mobile.

Just to bring this post back to life, well kinda... maybe just the Idea... How cool would a Digiex App be, you know like a Blackberry/Iphone/Android app, i'd definitely download it, in fact I'd even pay for it (And bear in mind, i only download free app's, and on occasion pay for app's like real awesome app's).

But it would be real cool to have a Digiex app...

We can actually create an App for the iOS and Android devices with some additional stuff from vBulletin, its an optional extra however at $100+
Could be something we do in the future, however you have got your wish about the mobile site, we have a mobile skin!

I dont believe its enabled by default at the moment, however you can select the skin at the bottom of the site when on your mobile.

I dont see the appeal of Blackberrys personally, i would sooner go back to using my old N95 than use one of them.
Had any trouble with it? i know multiple people who have gone through several blackberries because they simply stopped working :S

Get an Android and that really will feel like an upgrade! Glad i got my HTC Desire at the time, almost got the Nokia N900 (would still love one of them to mess with though!)

I actually had the Sony X10 Mini, i loved that fone, but i unfortunately have to use the Blackberry for work purposes, got 3 Mail accounts that need to be on line all the time, 1 of which is an Enterprise Account (Which i must admit, not that bad), then i have to always have my BBM online all the time because of the Business Heads that need to get hold of me, but if i had the option to go back to my X10, i'd do it in a Heartbeat, but unfortunately also, the @SS F*#K%RS (SORRY FOR MY LANGUAGE BUT I SWEAR IF I GET THOSE GUYS ILL KILL THEM!!!) that broke into my house and stole my XBOX stole my X10 amongst many other things also!! (Should've put that on my blog for 2011 also...), so back to the Blackberry 9300 3G, i've got it now about 6 months, its been nothing but good to me, i could download at awesome speeds, it was always functioning properly, it never gave me any grief, i even upgraded the OS to 6 on my own, with no issues! up till last month, it just started acting up, freezing on its own, loses network connection randomly, restarts for no apparent reason, battery last's me less than 8 hours after being fully charged!! so really, its a crappy fone, and i wouldn't recommend anybody get this fone, maybe the 9900 Bold, as that 1 has 1.2 Ghz processor that could be cool to mess around with...
