ok just looking that my gpu is entery can play most games medium/high depends on year ect i know its a 300w gpu so what is powerfullist 300w gpu i could go with and is there anything i need to take in consideration ive had a few ideas from FB friends the [h=1]AMD Radeon HD 7750 and 7770[/h]
Sapphire HD 7850 OC Edition 2GB - £150 Spend a bit more and go for a 7850, it's a good balance between price and performance. I put a HD 7850 in my brothers PC i built him last last year and it's easily handled everything out in max detail and 60+ fps.
If you want to upgrade your GPU, you're going to have to upgrade that PSU. That's really about the most you can push out with that PSU. Anything extra will eat away at it and then some.
HD 7770 requires a 500 wat PSU. If PSU is a restriction go with HD 7750. If you get a 7750 go with OC version if it is not much more then the regular version. The overclocked version adds about 15% in performance. I use game-debate.com to compare the cards. The HD 7770 performs about 18% better then the HD 7760 but the difference shouldn't be really noticable (I might be wrong), they are both good, however, I'd go with 7750 if I'm upgrading just so I don't have to upgrade other hardware (like PSU or perhaps a better CPU, in my case)
