I know I'm only a noob but I'll give me tupence

Like I've mentioned before somewhere, after a few years and the original xbox I'm just catching up on the whole modding, gaming side of things but I do work in I.T and that being the case along with the way I am I've been reading and looking as much as time allows on shed loads of different console/tech sites the last couple of months and this is by far the best I've come across so don't think you lot should be so down on yourselves lol

Yeah ok it does seem quieter than other sites tbh but look at the conversations on 99% of the threads, they mostly end up on some tangient that has nothing to do with the topic. So annoying when your trying to read a topic about how to set your paths so your console dash can read them and seeing 2 or 3 people claiming to be some sort of Kevin Mitnick over pages and pages of the thread by trying to prove how Windows Media Center libraries are a different format than Windows Media Player libraries or how they have successfully uninstalled 'Internet Explorer' from there windows pc which then deteriorates to who can be the biggest 'chat Rambo' and get all macho ..... on a gaming thread on internet ffs pmsl

You've been spared all that here and the threads are mostly straight to the point, the advice spot on and the overall lay out simple and clear ..... like has already been said you've been good enuff to put up an 'open source' site but unfortunately gamers on the whole are a selfish lot and will take and not say thanx or give back by way of making posts so will always seem quieter than what it really is,

I tend to waffle anyway so least ya can be reading my shite in future..... if ya don't ban me first

As for the competition, it's still a good idea like ya say on a smaller scale though personally I've not got me hopes up, I've not won anything since I won an original sony walkman from clarks shoes when I was about seven.....thing was so big I had to train for the summer so I could carry it up and downstairs.... if people saw it now days they'd assume it was a ghetto blaster or summin was so big but in them days was state of the art equipment ....think it ended up as a door stop, cant remember but I've not held much hope since.
