IMO the best ones to go for are the Original Xbox games they usually cost less than a pound and they're awesome. It's also worth noting that they're always changing the prices and sometimes they take a while to get caught up when a game raises its value on the internet, which is a good thing to buy it for cheap.
Yeah you never know what happens to games such as those. Some take years to regain value but when they do it's insane, though, not as crazy as Nintendo World Championships (those who own it can call themselves extremely lucky -- even if they paid thousands if not millions of dollars). Conker: Live & Reloaded is one of the few Original Xbox games that doesn't decrease its price but what you're getting is worth paying because the game's awesome (remake of Conker's Bad Fur Day) even though it seems to have been edited/censored here and there but overall the fun is still there, I think. Graphically speaking Conker: Live & Reloaded still holds up pretty damn well, it kinda feels like it was meant to be an Xbox 360 game.
Conker: Live & Reloaded was released pretty late in to the life of the Xbox, I do agree the Xbox Classic emulator on the 360 up scales the game quite well. "Black" also looked really good on the Xbox Classic, even better when unscaled on the Xbox 360. Same with some other games such as Halo 2 and Family Guy.
I picked up yesterday Conker from eBay for £1.99 and imo that was an awesome deal because we all know how much the game goes for these days. Still, the N64 version of it shocks me by how much people are willing to pay for it.
How much are people paying the for N64 version these days? i would sooner just emulate classic consoles which i dont own. I was a late starter to consoles so the oldest i actually have is the GameCube.
The cartridge alone is worth around £60 or more. Used boxed is £70 to £80, and brand new factory sealed is £150. CEX are trustworthy, i've used their website a few times in the past and never personally had any issues. As with any website just ensure its a secure page when entering your card details.
For purchases they'll take your money asap but when it's concerning returns and refunds it can take longer than one whole month. Back in 2009 or so the shipping was free of charge and now it costs £2.50 which is overpriced (1st Class Standard is £1.20, for example) and I don't think they use the better mail services such as track and etc.
It's not uncommon for websites to take money on purchase, however i know some don't until dispatch. I do agree though its a shame shipping is no longer free. I've got some great games for a few £ delivered in the past, £2.50 shipping kind of does make it less of a deal. As for returns i can't comment there having never returned anything. The above doesn't make CEX any less trust worthy from a payment point of view however.
