    The Computer Room

Downstairs we have a computer room, this used to be a garage but it was converted to another room a few years ago.

Here is my PC in the computer room

We also have the networking equipment in here, the other rooms in the house that are networked up all connect in to
the Netgear gigabit switch which is connected to the Linksys WRT54g router running the Tomato custom firmware.

My 360 and GameCube are connected up to the TV in the computer room

Is that a 17” laptop? It looks quite a bit bigger than most laptops. Very nice.

It is indeed, well its Roberts old one. He got a new 1080p HDTV and offered me that for a very good price. Much better than the massive CRT we had before, it’s now possible to change channel without having a battle with the remote ;)

Not 17" Good guess. Yes it's bigger than most. Its more of a replacement for a desktop computer than a laptop. It's Just over 21" to be exact.

That’s massive :O I had no idea you could get laptops that big hehe, I’m guessing you don’t carry that around with you? ;)

What make/model is it? I wouldn’t mind looking that up.

Samsung - 26" LCD TV - Widescreen - Silver, glossy black

I think the model is Samsung LE-26R72B. If you google search you might find something. I could provide links but they're all from the UK and I can't search for items for the US anymore :(

Thought as I reorganized my desk its the best time to show mine off.

I'm at University in Halls so cant make massive displays like others, so done the best I could with just one desk.

First photo shows my entire desk.

    Then each section:
    Router/Speakers/PC (Left)
    Laptop (Middle)
    Mac / 360 / Wii + TV (Right)

I got the Xbox in 2004 and added the lcd screen / usb port mod in 2005.

It’s not as hard as it looks, at the time companies creating the modchips were also creating accessories such as the LCD screens and USB port mods in a replacement front panel. All you had to do was open the Xbox and remove the front of the case. After that put the replacement front panel in with the space ready cut-out for the LCD screen and USB ports.

Probably the most useful device I ever purchased, gets used more than my 360 a lot of the time!
