Nope its not, I replied to your other post.

You can make two connections to the FTP server at once, if you keep trying to make more you will be flagged up as hammering and get banned for 60 minutes.

Download one thing at once and you will be fine.

i'd be happy just being able to download 1 at a time, I keep getting the error page with no download after having waited 24 hours, its getting slightly annoying considering I really want to play DK2

ps. tried with firefox and IE having the same issue on both

edit#2 tried left clicking the link, tried right clicking and saving link as, tried opening link in new window and new tab. still a no go. any help would be appreciated

Norse it sounds like downloads from ftp servers are blocked on the internet connection you are using.

Can you install an FTP client such as FileZilla and see if you can connect to the Digiex FTP using that?

It appears FTP is blocked on your net connection, when connecting in FileZilla you should get something like:

    Status: Resolving IP-Address for digiex.net
    Status: Connecting to 87.98.250.172:21...
Status: Connection established, waiting for welcome message...
Response: 220 Digiex.net File Transfer Server, Ready...
    Command: USER anonymous
Response: 331 Password required for anonymous.
    Command: PASS **************
    Response: 230-User Anonymous logged in.
Response: Welcome to Digiex.net FTP Server.
Response: Current system uptime is: 12d02:18:19.

Are you at work/school? If so that’s most likely the reason you can’t connect.

If you’re at home disable any firewalls for a minute and try to connect then, if you can connect with your firewall off that’s your problem.

Hey, what's this file that I get? It won't do anything when I double-click it.

Heh... just kidding. I actually took the time to register and post in order to THANK YOU for doing this. (as opposed to all who don't know what a disc image is and what to do with it... much less read a thread before asking.)

DK2 always was a touch-and-go install on anything above win98 and especially with any of the SBLive! versions of Creative hardware. Still, easily one of the top strategy games of all time, if you ask me.

With your firewall off go back to the first post and click the download link there, you can’t browse directories on the Digiex FTP.

I can't get the editor to work. When I save the map in the map folder and start the game to try the map it just freezes. It says DK2 has encountered a problem and blabla.
Any ideas how to fix this?
I thought I was doing something wrong, so I opened a map I got with the game that works, added one creature and when I tried the new map, it froze.

Downloaded this and mounted with VirtualCloneDrive. Game works fine and everything with Windows XP compatability mode, but I cannot save at all! I go into a level, pause it and click save and type some random file name and I press enter. The mentor will say game saved but when I back to load nothing is there. Has that happened to anyone before and does anyone know how to solve it?

    Update

To run Dungeon Keeper 2 with Vista use these settings:

    Compatability:
    Win 98/Me
    Disable Visual Themes
    Disable desktop composition

    In Game:
    Disable Graphic Hardware support
    Disable Sound Hardware support

I've tried lots of setups and done alot of checking on the web. I haven't had a single crash in 4 straight hours of playing with these settings on Vista. (all other settings I've used has caused crashes. normaly once every 10-30 mins)

    Hope this helps people

For people having trouble with a black screen during the game, I found this quick and easy fix on another site and it solved the problem for me:

I had the same problem what you have to do is go into properties then compatability. Enable run in 256 colour and Run in 640x480 screen resolution.

Hopefully this should sort out the problem.:)

Seeing how other people have been playing it, saying that it is corrupt wouldn't even make sense.
