So at first I was a little skeptical about this game. I was not going to buy it at full price but was able to get it for only $25 so I figured why not? Anyway, on to the review. I'm only on like chapter 2 but thus far, the game is fabulous. The visuals are top notch, maybe even the best yet on the 360. The story, like all other Resident Evil stories, is amazing as well. Controls are a bit dated, especially the lack of movement while shooting. The controls are the only complaints I have. Other than the small set backs, this game is definitely a solid 9.5

I’m still not sure if I want to get this or not, I’ve only ever played the first Resident Evil which was quite good. Do you still have to collect items to save? I remember in the first one you could only save if you had ink for the type writer or something like that.

This game is great InsaneNutter. Yes you do still half to collect things in order to keep your ammo and health up. Though saving it does itself. You won't need to collect ink. 9.5 Is my rating as well. I've successfully beat it and the story was amazing. I've now unlocked a few things.

unlimited ammo (only on certain guns, They must be fully upgraded) Plus Mercenaries Mode. Which is where you half to kill as many as possible within 2:00 mins. Though theres a few time extenders laying around.
Plus I'm still playing it to find things I missed and to collect more money. This game is nothing less than amazing.

I highly suggest you get this game Nutter. Even tho it has no multiplayer, it has a huge amount of replayability. Plus the mercenaries mode offers many more hours of play.

I'm not really sure how to say this...Resident Evil 5 DOES have Co-Op...

The game is excellent, to me it was totally worth the 60$. If your a fan of RE4, then RE5 is a must. Only small problem is the friendly AI when your on the single player mode, if you play multiplayer then this isn't a problem. I've finished the game two times and now i'm Co-Oping with another friend. As long as you have someone to Co-Op with its totally worth getting. If i'm not Co-Oping on RE5 and anyone wants to let me know;)

Ya I know it has co-op c'mon I'm not totally an idiot. When I say it has no multiplayer, I mean it has like no competitive multiplayer. I don't really consider co-op to be traditional multiplayer.

Ah! I only had that impression because I never really thought of Resident Evil 5 having competitive multiplayer. It would be interesting to say the least.

I heard about this actually. I am curious as to how this is going to work. I understand they are doing like a survival kind of thing but also standard deathmatch as well.

Yeah I think I'll stick with the story when playing RE5. Actually asking for money to play some multilplayer content that's probably already on the disk is just wrong! Same goes with SFIV, all those damn costumes you have to pay for.

I'm not really enjoying the game much so far. I don't have broadband, so playing co-op with a human isn't an option. The horrible AI for Sheeva is ruining the game for me. She's gotten me killed way too many times needlessly or stands in the way of my line of sight with an enemy like the chainsaw dude and I end up getting my head cut off! The graphics are really good overall, as is the audio. If it weren't for the terrible AI and the clunky controls, I'd be enjoying the game a lot more.

If you hold the B button (Xbox) or O (PS3 I think) You can either call for her or make her attack. I've noticed if you have her on attack Sheva isn't as bad. As long as she has lots of ammo she can hold up pretty good. Sometimes she'll go to far out though, so you have to keep calling for her like shes a lost puppy.

I normally just use her for a ammo carrier. I'm so greedy I don't even give her a weapon. I carry all the weapons shes got all the ammo. Cause if I give her a gun she would just waste my precious ammo. It comes handy when playing on hard.

I know what you mean. It gets to be pretty ridiculous when it takes her a whole pistol clip to kill one enemy. I've taken all of her weapons away too. That also works pretty good, she'll usually tend to stay behind you when you do this. Unless she sees something shiny then she runs towards the item as fast as possible.

But then she ends up getting attacked somewhere else where I can't help her in time! :P

The visuals are nowhere near as impressive as games like COD4 or BioShock, I've seen better water effects on XNA games tbh. Wasn't particularly impressed by number 5, gameplay wise it's uninventive following the same system which has been used for getting on to a decade by the same genre of video game. Some of the cinematography is good, and overall I'd say the game is worth playing but it only gets a 70% in my book, and I think that's probably generous.

CoD4?! CoD4 has pretty decent graphics but Resident Evil blows it outta the water. BioShock graphics were pretty good. Now those are comparable.

    WARNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whatever you do don't invite someone to the game after its started! Heres an example: I start a game on Veteran, since I wanted it finish it on that mode. I invited a friend after I started the game. At the top it said (Gamertag) has accepted invite get to next checkpoint or restart to join immediately. So I clicked restart, then he joined. We went through the whole thing. I got S rank on every level. We finished the game...Only problem is...it didn't register. I have to do it ALL OVER AGAIN!:'(:'(:'(

    Just a fair caution.

Having played both Cod4 and Res Evil 5 in the last week, I can safely say Resident Evil doesn't come close to Cod4. Graphically I was very unimpressed, the only thing graphics wise that doesnt look dated is a very high poly model used for the main character in cut scenes. Call of Duty 4 is a contender for one of the best games I've played graphically.

So basically Resident Evil 5 is a good game to play on co-op but the Ai is horrible, Remind’s me of Army of Two.

Graphics wise I dont think anything has topped Gears of War 2 on the 360 for me.
