when i first tried to hook up my HDD to pc transfer cable, i had the same problem. what fixed mine was either wiggle'n the connector to xbox360 hdd, or turn it around. once i fiddled with it, it made contact and all was fine. don't know if that will help you but this is what i ran into at first. -

YOU'RE a game GURU IT WORKED!!!! i can play original xbox games only. i tried an xbox1 backup game and i got a strange error. it has an error that has X:5829.0 B:1884.0 do you know what this might mean??? i have done some reading and have come up with a couple of ideas to what it could... -

i had to find me a disc to burn it to which i just did. i will be testing it out shortly. im not sure why the other did not work either. i do have a Backup Compatible 360 if that makes any difference. well it just got done so i am off to test it out. be back shortly. -
