    No I don't think you understand what I mean. If I get a brand new hard drive without any PS4 OS and install the firmware 1.76 recovery instead of the latest version would this work or will it still be incompatible regardless of whether I use a new hard drive?

    Hi Can I install the recovery version on a 2016 PS4 C-Chassis which wasn't made with 1.76? I also have a new hard drive but I don't wanna risk getting my already banned ps4 bricked because it isn't supported with 1.76.
