    Well...this is how I did it: -I've kept the red wire and the black one near him connected to the xbox for the 5v power -I've cutted the yellow cable and the black one near it and linked them to a 12v2a power adapter (+ for yellow, - for black) and it booted fine :)

    I have 1 spare wire like this (it doesn't have the grey wire) Is there a way to connect it to 2-3 usb cables to power it(i don't use the back usb ports.. so why not)? From what i know Y usb cables are capable of powering a 3.5" HDD.
