    nxe Have you tried using a USB FD to apply the update? it's better coz it doesn't waste your cd's in case the xbox doesn't read it.

    nxe "Disables hard drive installs for banned consoles (maybe more, some people report their consoles can no longer be used as a media centre and that there profile and saves are corrupt when used on another console)" This only applies to consoles that have been banned in XBL, right?
