HTPC (Media Center PC) Spec, What do you think?
That is not so much true now.. some of the onboard sound cards can be very good, like the mac mini's one that seems pretty good to me and i have never had any problems with it and i use it alot for the optical out/in.- Orby

Yes I have heard about the "backup" option in Steam, but I have never used it, I dont know if it would backup the configs as well ?? would be good if it does. Normally I just copy the whole steam folder off to a network share/external drive and then format/reinstall and then install steam and...- Orby

I have heard that there is a way to add Older games to steam but it just means you would not have the steam UI and friends lists, which is really kind of pointless then. I also have the same problem where i have many games that i cant add into steam and it would require me to purchase them...- Orby

Post your desktops
umm hard to post just one desktop for me as i use 3 machines.. so i will post them all. from left to right Windows XP pro SP3. Mac OS X 10.5.4 Linux, Mandriva 2008 To save desk space i use a program called Synergy That allows me to use my mac's keyboard and mouse to control the other...- Orby

Could get a Mac Mini, its fast enough for HD content. comes with a power cable :P comes with remote as well :) can use FrontRow for Music, Movies and Pictures, but would require a separate application such as Eye TV for watching TV, but the apple remote still supports it. but you would then...- Orby
