    Hello Primebot,

I saw you on server, with Peter, and there was a kick vote against me (I don't know why, I was just joined the game).
Peter said that you kick me. It was him ?
(Screenshot : see my not really serious post "need an exorcist".)

Is someone actually hacking and kicking you? Or are you been kicked by a kick vote?

    Hello,

I had the same problem as Primebot (cir. 22h45 tonight, french time).
As you see, it was during the map vote time, I had just joined and I had not played at all.

It becomes painful to endure these idiots. 8o|

I propose to turn off the kickvote, or, if you don't want,
to turn off the anonymous mode.
AntiTCC is good enough against cheaters.

    |-) Its reasons like that why I don't play PC games, I'd rather not deal with any BS.

That was one feature I hated about Left 4 Dead. I would be playing online with my girlfriend as my guest and someone would put a random vote up and we got kicked. That BS pisses me off.

I know, right? Its pretty ridiculous that you can even get booted when your the host. I say the host should be able to vote for a kick on L4D not everyone.

Kick vote’s are now disabled on the Digiex server, it’s a shame people can’t be trusted with it as it does have it uses especially as we have only one staff member who plays UT a lot of the time.

Well if I'm ever on the server Gorge and you need someone kicking and I feel they should be kicked then I'll log in as admin and deal with them in the only way that these idiots understand. Sad to know there are still some people playing this great game who find it funny to abuse the game in such ways.

he votes for kick me and five seconds later appears a message with " an administrator banned you from the game" more or less like that.

the gorge idea is good turn of the kick vote option from the game

    Hello,

    Primebot :

kick and ban are two different thing. Only an admin can ban you. (unless a player uses a hack ?)

    InsaneNutter & Trebor :

    Thank you.

Some people (because they mistakenly think they are anonymous) believe they are free to annoy others.
On my invasion server, first I had to stop the chat : there were too many problems with screaming, sounds repugnant, insults.
Then, players didn't respect the rules (first of them : invasion is a team game). I warn them using the web admin console : no answers.
Alas, I had to set a password to the server and play now only with people known.
I think that admins could write entire books, on the behavior, from children to adults.

It was 51% of the people in the game, we thought that was pretty fair, however as the server doesn’t always have a lot of people in its often quite easy to get people kicked out as you guys have reported.

    Kickvote is disabled now.

    Hello,

    again, again and again....

I told Primebot that kickvote was still ON and... (see screenshot).

I'm tired. I leave Digiex server for some time. I'm sick of idiots.

It appears another server admin must have turned kick vote back on?

Ive disabled it again as its clear people are just going to keep abusing it.

i have never used kickvote but i do see a use for it on occasion. why not set it higher than 51% ?
whatever you do to a server there will always be abuse of some sort if the server is publically available. kickvote does allow the option of getting rid of a player if the rest of the players think it appropriate.

Another Admin didnt turn it off, if you dont click restart map the settings arent saved, even though the save button is pressed! ;) And even then sometimes it doesnt save. Best thing to do is to stop it, and turn it off in the ini file and start the server again.

Edit: I just checked it and it was still enabled, think I've forced it to save the changes now.
