The Halloween-themed Blood Moon event hits Champions Online next week and Cryptic wants new players to experience it, too. They're going to let the public play the super hero MMORPG free of charge for four days. The free play period begins on Friday, October 30th at 10 AM and runs until Monday, November 2nd at 10 AM. To ensure you can get maximum play-time out of the free weekend, set up your account before-hand at Champions-Online.com. You can download the client as well. The Blood Moon event begins on October 27th for current subscribers. The Undying Lord, Takofanes, is attacking Millenium City with an army of werewolves and undead. As with anything related to necromancy and lycanthropy, it should be good times. You get to design your own Superhero and go on big quests (instances that change the area you're in when finished (like WOW Wrath of the Lich Kings Death Knight starting area)).
