UT 99, more people play that than Unreal 3... must show how good it is 10 years later.

That, and the fact that the system requirements for UT99 are dramatically low these days, I am running it on my very compact netbook!

    And mine:

Half-Life is fantastic, i remember thinking the introduction on the train was amazing, like playing an interactive movie.

Not the first game I owned but it was certainly one I spent a lot of time playing back when we got a pc.

My first game for a PC was the original Sim City in about 1988. It ran on an XT-compatible system w/640KB RAM, DOS 3.3 and only CGA (early color) graphics. My mom gave me the game as a birthday gift, I think. Man that was a good game for its time.

Before the PC I had a Commodore 64 that ran some good games on cartridges, diskettes or cassette tapes. Same type of games like many of the (Atari/Sega,etc) console systems of the day. Frogger, PacMan, Donkey Kong, etc. Graphics were much better on the Commodore than early PC's, which IBM had initially designed for business users of text-based applications.

I honestly dont remember the first game I owned. That was a LONG time ago. I know some of the first were Mystery House, Kings Quest, Leisure Suit Larry, Space Quest. As you can tell I was a huge Sierra fan long ago. Gabriel Knight still has to be one of the best series of games ever written in my opinion. I know I had a subscription to a shareware service called Blue Dot or Blue something in the 80's that gave me many of my games. It also taught me how to bypass timer lockouts on games. ;)

Zork was in there as well. As for the refrences to NFS 2 in the list. I remember Test Drive. The guy in the game used to say you drove like his grandmother if you did well. That used to make me laugh for hours.

Our first PC came with a game called Billy's Kleurboek (Billy's Coloring book). An uncle of mine gave us Star Goose and some other games I can't really remember a while later. First game I ever bought was Gateworld:

That would be the following one for me:

It was the very first game i bought with my own money!

Although i remember playing much much older games long time before. When i was 6, i started playing on my dads C64 (or the Atari or Palladium console from the mid/late 80s).

Infact i do exactly have 14 originals of Diablo and 14 Originals of Warcraft 2 (kinda "foundĀ“em" very cheap some time ago ^^).

14 of each! going to start a Diablo and Warcraft shrine? ;)

I that will be worth a bit in years to come, especially to collectors.

Here are the boxes I bought in a cheap 20packs-couple each.

13/12 still are left of those (infact 14/13, but for the picture I took one aside of each for myself, in case of selling them).

The rest of the formerly 20 units were given to friends for free <:o)

    EDIT:
Of both games, Diablo and Warcraft 2, i have other versions (the original first releases in Germany) - just to be clear :)

The first computer I owned was the Commodore 64 and the first series of games I played was the Phantasie series. They were like a D & D type of game where you had a group of adventurers and went into dungeons and stuff.
