Hi, unfortunately there´s no "discussion" section in the download forum so i´m just asking here. How do i know that my upload would be "ok" with the rules of both sides, i mean, when is abandonware abandonware and how can i recognize that? There are infact some Games and Stuff i would really like to upload, but i also wanna make sure that i´m not stepping across some borders, think you know what i mean Cya, Max
if you find yourself in question, then do it anyways...If it's something that shouldn't be allowed, we'll dicuss it then take action or if you don't want to waste your time you can always ask myself or my fellow admins, Nimrod or InsaneNutter.
What do you want to upload? the general rule for games if as long as there not sold or widely available anymore, say on steam or shops like amazon for example then there ok to upload. I know its hard to say either way, but if you carn't decide just ask
I know that you´re going to delete stuff within the next 24 hours after it´s been uploaded or being reported, thats not what i´m much concerned about. Worst problem (for me!) would be the unnecessairy upload - with 10kb/s (yeah, right *argh*) its not too funny to upload stuff that may be deleted afterwards Well, right now i was testing my "Doom3 - E3 Demo" back from 2002! It is - as the name itself reveals - only a short demo but its full of stuff that never made it into the released version (but could be seen in some demovideos back then), so i think it´s worth the time It´s about 380MB rar-packed, so i´ll have to use the ftp-server, right? I don't think ive had to delete much at all uploaded by members here, the download center gets hit by a lot of spam bots posting warez hosted on rapidshare and such, i dont class those spam bots as members though The Doom E3 Demo is more than fine, I always wanted to play that back in the day but only had a 300mhz PC back then so never did. Rare stuff like that is always most welcome, thats what the download center is about. Feel free to use the FTP server for smaller things if you like, i can just log on to the Digiex server and attach it to your post for you. 10kb/s is horrible, i can upload at around 90kb/s and thats slow to me! If you send me a message when its uploaded ill move the download across and give you a link to post it up
Thanks, that would be great! I´m uploading right now, in about 10-11 hours it should be done (exact file size is 388 MB - or 407.735.465 Bytes ). As soon as the upload is completed (and when i´m back home tonight), i´ll send you a pm, so you can give me the link - or else directly edit it into my post for the game.
