Well it looks like Jack Bauer's fight against terrorism on Fox has come to an end. Fox announced earlier that 24 would be ending this season, and would not be doing a season 9. IGN reports that it is not the complete end for Jack Bauer, as 24 movie is currently in the works. This is an unfortunate announcement, but at least 24 will go out with a great final season. Head over to IGN to check out the full article and see what Keifer Sutherland has to say about the situation. Source
I wouldn't say that around here seeing as there are quite a few 24 fans here, including me. 24 was one of the best shows I've watched and I think it had a great 8-season run. RIP 24 .
I heard about this the other day, sad news indeed. I must admit the recent 24 series are basically the same same plot as previous series now, i think they have run out of ideas. 3 of my 4 main TV shows have finished now or will be finishing this season. Prison Break finished last year Lost and 24 finish this year Good job House is still on!
I laughed because it almost sounded like a threat. To me the show was crap but I just don't get into shows like this, though of course i'm not saying the show should of went out, as long as their were people enjoying it (which there seems to of been quite a few), why cancel it?
I wouldn't threaten over a show, but 24 may be an exception. You seem hard to please when it comes to quite a few things. Very high standards it seems.
24 has been rubbish since the end of Season 3 or 4, it gets boring. The storyline is simple: Some bad guy appears, Jack shouts at him, the bad guy gets away. Jack shouts at Chloe. CTU gets hits. Jack Shouts, Bad guy appears, Jack shouts at him and kills him, new bad guy totally unrelated appears, Jack Shouts, Bad guy gets away. Repeat.
You forgot Mr or Mrs Mole Nimrod. Fun the first few times they did it and to see who it was, now it's just seemingly like a bad cliche! TBH I lost much faith in the show during season 6 and didn't feel like season 7 redeemed it that much (though the mini movie was great). A film is in the works now apparently.
