Playing original xbox games on 360

I'm trying to play an original version of Doom 3 on my xbox 360 but get the following message.

"This original Xbox game is not supported on your Xbox 360 console. An Update to support this game may be available. For more info, go to Xbox.com | Games Home.

Version: 1.0 "

I read that I need to update the console, but its already updated with the newest (9199). Any idea?

 

If the console is already updated, then Doom 3 may not be one of the games that is backwards compatible. I don't think I ever tried to play my copy of Doom 3 on the 360, but I don't remember seeing it on a list of games that are supported on the 360.

 

Doom 3 is on the backward compatibility list, so I don't know why it won't play.

 

Ok Try This:

Goto your Xbox 360 Console Settings, And change the GHZ to 50.
Try it now, If it still doesn it, then Connect to live while doing the above.

Ohhh, Wouldn't it automatically update if you had connected to live?

 

I don't have Live. So I guess this is the offline fix!
